I take my mate to the dungeon, where her father is being kept, just waiting for his death. I notice Skye yawning, even though she’s trying to hide it. She must be tired, it’s almost dawn. She's mostly functioning after sunset, since her skin and her eyes are extremely sensitive to sunlight. I'll be slowly helping her adjust to normal daily routine, but it'll take time. For now, though, we wake up in the afternoon and go to sleep at dawn, so my mate's not exposed to the harsh light during the day.

I was surprised when my mom said she wants to deal with the fucker right now, since it’s so late, or rather early. But I get why she decided to do that. If Alpha Lucas is involved in this shit, then it’s possible he would try to help the fucker escape.

“Well, well, well, looks like you’re not healing.” Mom taunts the bald guy as she nears the cell, where he hangs limply from the ceiling, his body held upright solely by the chains around his wrists and neck.
