POV: Hayley

The evening air was cool, a welcome change from the stifling heat of the mansion’s grand interior. I had managed to slip away unnoticed, taking refuge in the garden that surrounded the estate. The lush greenery and the scent of blooming flowers were a stark contrast to the tension that had become a constant presence in my life.

I found solace in the solitude, sitting on a stone bench near the fountain. The water trickled softly, creating a soothing backdrop to my thoughts. I was exhausted, not just physically but emotionally. The confrontation with Sky had left me feeling raw and exposed, and I couldn’t shake the sense of inadequacy that had settled over me.

I was lost in my thoughts when I heard the faint sound of footsteps approaching. My heart skipped a beat as I glanced over my shoulder, only to see Sky walking toward me with a determined expression. He looked out of place in the serene garden, his formal attire contrasting sharply with the relaxed atmosphere.
