“Colby?” I say in shock. I look at his face; he looks haggard and tired. Moving forward slowly I look at him as he stares back at me. “When are you coming home, Kate?” he asks me. I move forward jumping into his arms wrapping my legs around his waist. He pulls me in tightly to his body, just hugging me. His face is in my neck where my marking spot is.
“I’m sorry Kate. Sorry for being such an idiot. I can’t live without you. We need to figure things out,” he says, which sounds muffled as he is still wrapped up in my neck smelling me. I chuckle as it tickles and then moan softly as he swipes his tongue over my marking spot. He knows that always makes me come undone.

Drake POV After an uncomfortable night on the couch, Maddie and I were up early and ready to go visit her family at the Red Moon Pack. Maddie was somewhat somber today, and I could tell she was still put out by our discussion from the night before. Her conversation with me had been limited since that chat and she was reluctant to hold my hand today. I didn’t let go of her hand, she simply made little effort to reciprocate the touch. I was conflicted. Maybe I was making too big a deal out of her missing wolf. I didn’t have to mark Maddie to be close to her. I would have another discussion with her, and we could both decide on what we wanted to do going forward. I wanted her to be happy and know I wanted to be with her regardless of whether she gets her wolf back.

Kate POV Looking at Lily sheepishly, “We’re expecting,” I barely get out before she squeals in excitement hugging me. As we stand there, Miranda has a funny look on her face as she looks at me. Looking at her I have a questioning look on my face, as does Colby. “That was a pretty big attack Kate, let me do a quick scan to see how things are at the moment,”. With that Lily steps back as Miranda does her body scan. I don’t understand the talent, but I am always in awe of it. Drake POV Maddie and I had a quiet night when we arrived back at the Pack house. We spent the night watching movies and talking about things we liked, things we don’t like, what she did while she was at the Red Moon Pack. Kate POV We got the call two days later that Lily was in labour. Colby had been trying to convince me not to go. Lily would understand that he wanted me close to the Pack house and doctor. We both were anxious after our last loss, but we had to recognize that was a situation that happened to us. Not something that meant there was something wrong with the pup or me in terms of carrying our pups. Amelie was over the moon when she found out we were expecting. To find out we were having two pups was a surprise but a great one at that. Amelie asked repeatedly if she could name them. Considering the last stuffed animal she received, she named gremlin, we are trying to gently tell her no. But it made us chuckle last night as we considered the names she would come up with. We haven’t started thinking about names yet. We don’t know if it’s two boys, two girls or one of each. And we haven’t decided if we want to know what they are before they are born.

Kate POV It had been a couple months since everything had happened. From the DNA test results, to Caleb’s son being the mastermind behind all that had happened. Maddie and I had a chance to grow closer over the past couple months. Beta Ralph had been disappointed he had not ended up being Maddie’s father. Maddie POV It had been an amazing vacation with Drake. I cannot wait to go again. I loved all his surprises and most importantly our time together. I had heard from Kate. She and Colby were arriving shortly for a quick visit. They were stopping to see her parents first at the Golden Moon Pack, Kate had some paperwork to sign for Alpha Reid and then would be coming over here.
