Intentions

Now that I’ve done it, I don’t know what I was expecting to find. I didn’t even wipe my face, but I refuse to be weak with Chance. Before I can change my mind, I lift my chin and walk into the room like I’ve done a million times before. The door closes behind me and just like that, the low smooth music meant for VIP guests muffles and replaces the music from the club.

The last of my tears escape and stream down my cheeks. Opening my eyes, my gaze slides over the room until I find him sitting on the opposite side of the room, in my seat. He looks as charming as ever with a white buttoned up dress shirt. His eyes are wide in surprise and his jaw is hanging open.
