“No, Luna,” Chance breathed. “I li—”

“I didn’t ask what you liked,” I said, cutting him off.

“No, you did not,” Chance agreed. His eyes darkened as he took in my mood and there was a look in his eyes that told me he was ready to do whatever it took to make me happy. Where could you find a man like that in the world?

“Char was riding my ass hard because you came in early. Weren’t you supposed to tell her that you were okay with waiting? Did you not tell her that you would wait for as long as you needed?” I asked.

“I’ll talk to h—”

“It’s too late!” I hissed.

“I told her that I would wait for you. I also told her that there was no need for her to worry about me. I told her you were the only one who would service me and refused her offering,” Chance answered. He’d done everything right ad wasn’t to blame for Char’s irritating need to stick her nose into my business. I sighed.

“Are you going to be good for me?” I asked.
