Chapter 5

Tamara,

I opened my eyes or at least tried to because it was so hard after crying most of the night from fear, frustration, and pain.

Yesterday…….yesterday… I closed my eyes again as I felt a sob rip out of me. Yesterday was horrible. It felt like I was raped and everyone was a witness to it and did nothing.

I was mounted as if I was some animal and Savage used my body until he came and knotted me. All of that happened under the eyes of my pack and his.

I curled around myself, then I hissed in pain when every inch of my body hurt. I felt like I was run over by a damn truck.

And this wasn’t just because of Savage and the mating ceremony. My brother has been hitting me since he found out that I tried to run away.

Even though Savage had warned him not to do it and that he wasn’t allowed to put a hand on me ever again, but Hunter, I mean Dickson, was fuming.

But what did he think?! He thought that I will just bow my head and do whatever the hell he ordered me. Death would have been better than this humiliation.

I thought sniffling, but then I heard someone come my way and I held my breath and closed my eyes tightly. It might be him, he might be back.

“Get up. I can hear your rapid heartbeat. We have been waiting for you for so long already.”

A female snarled, making me shudder, and I opened my eyes and turned around softly while hugging the blanket that was covering my nudity.

There were three females staring down at me and they seemed to be the same age as mine or maybe closer, but the way their eyes regarded me varied.

One of them was looking at me with obvious hatred and anger, and there was a disgusted snarl on her face that I can’t understand.

The second one was looking at me with obvious curiosity, but when our eyes met, she gave me a kind and warm smile.

The third one looked down at me passively and was bored if I might add. She seemed like she wanted to be somewhere else rather than here.

“Be nice, Zoey, the female went through a lot. I’m sorry, I apologize for the way she treated you. My name is Lily, the angry one here is Zoey, and the bored one is Mia. The alpha asked us to wait for you to wake up, then we can head back to our territory.”

The nice female said after she crouched and regarded cheerfully. I swallowed harshly and nodded my head and tried to stand up on shaky legs.

I stood up unsteadily and tried to wrap the blanket around my naked body, but then my eyes widened in horror when I felt something run down my thighs.

The females’ nostrils flared, and the one called Lily giggled and winked at me while Zoey snarled, then she threw something at me and stomped away.

Mia kneeled and gripped what looked like a simple dress, then she handed it to me and I thanked her while looking down, not daring to stare her in the eye.

“Again I apologize, she is just pissed because she thought that she might be……”

Lily started to say, but then her friend jabbed her in the side, making her cry out in pain and glare at Mia in anger.

“There is no need for your babbling, Lil. The girl is already overwhelmed. Give her a breather.”

Mia said coldly as I started to wear the dress after dropping the blanket, and the girls stared at my naked body unabashedly.

I tried to wear the damn thing quickly, feeling uncomfortable, making Lily giggle loudly, and I felt my entire body turn red.

She waved at me, then she put her arm around my shoulders and pushed me forward as we started our walk.

“I see that you are more… reserved in your pack, but with time, you will learn that nudity is nothing to us. We are a pack of warriors who are always ready when any threats arise. So stuff like modesty and embarrassment with our body aren’t things we deal with. Besides, you have a good body. Why are you embarrassed about it? We have seen everything yesterday as well. So that ship has sailed long ago.”

The girl said, laughing, and I bit the inside of my mouth in order not to cry. I wanted to curl around myself and cry beside one of those huge trees.

Mia shook her head in disapproval at her friend and she gave me a frown as if saying sorry on her behalf. I guess she isn’t a talker.

“Stop your pointless chatting and shift. It is almost noon. We have wasted so much time and they need our help there.”

Zoey said as she took off her clothes and shifted into her wolf and snapped her jaw at me, then she took off.

Mia followed her seconds later and I think Lily was right about the nude thing because each one of them took off her dress, gripped it with her mouth, and shifted.

“Aren’t you going to shift? It might be a long walk if we made it on foot.”

I bit my lower lip and started to fiddle with my fingers because I can’t shift like them and this time it was not about me being naked in front of them.

I don’t want them to see my wolf and then call me the same nickname as my pack did. This is my life now and I don’t want their first impression of me to be that.

“OK, if you are too tired to shift, then I will give you a ride, but this will be the one and only as a courtesy. As I said, things in our pack are different from others and if you show any sign of weakness, they will fucking eat you alive. Luna or not.”

The girl said firmly, and I narrowed my eyes, not understanding what she meant entirely, but I just nodded my head, making her smile at me.

She took off her dress and started to stretch her neck, but before shifting, she turned around and grinned at me sheepishly.

“Umm, can you use the blanket and put it under you before getting on my back? I don’t want any of the……ahem to get on me. I don’t want to smell like the alpha.”

I looked down at my feet but nodded my head quickly, feeling mortified, she has the right to say that but it made me feel like shit.

“If you just took me somewhere with water, I can clean up and this won’t bother you.”

I said, and the girl froze, then she turned around and squeezed my shoulders tightly, surprising me.

“Don’t do that, especially at the beginning of your mating. The alpha won’t like it and he might punish you, ok?! Tamara, tell me that you understand. Never clean the alpha seed or scent, never try to get rid of it, at least for the first month.”

The girl said as her eyes pour into mine and I swallowed harshly, then I blinked at her in confusion, but she shook me to get a confirmation and I said a small ok.

The girl sighed tiredly, then in seconds she shifted into a blonde wolf and it turned its head to yip at me, happily telling me that she was ready.
