He stood there patiently, gently touching Diana's back to comfort her. "Don't cry like a baby; Aren't you afraid of being laughed at by others?"

Diana raised her eyes; she tilted her head. “I thought you weren't coming back.”

Ryan chuckled softly, tapping her head, not hard but painful enough. “Silly! Now that I'm here, do you still doubt?"

Diana shook her head.

Max took a breath and approached; he remained the same, earnest and rigid. “Alpha, the Alpha position is always yours, never changed. We are still waiting for this day because we always have faith that you will return.”

Behind Max, Roger and Evelyn nodded enthusiastically.

"Didn't I say you can keep the position if I don't return?" Ryan raised an eyebrow.

Roger immediately interjected. "But now you're back."

I looked at them once. Their outward appearance has changed more or less; even the interior is no longer the same as before. I change, and they change, but it feels like we've never been apart when we're in the same place.
