Chapter 27: Interrogations

“Alpha, wait!” Another guard yelled but Regan was beyond listening. He paced towards the first guard, his eyes dripping with killing intent.

The guard shook violently as he muttered inaudible prayers. As Regan closed in on him, his eyes shut tightly.

Just as the Alpha raised his hands, ready to bring it down on the guard, he was suddenly hit by the side, sending him across the room forcefully.

Estan disentangled himself from Regan as they both rolled on the floor. The Alpha crashed his back onto the wall.

“Get it together, Alpha!” Estan boomed.

Regan shook his head before standing up. He charged at the guard again, but Estan locked him in his arms.

“You don't want to kill him, Regan!” The beta said, struggling to keep Regan from moving.

The Alpha grunted and pushed Estan off him. The latter was sent skidding backwards with a groan.

“Regan!” Estan yelled one more time, his voice bouncing off the walls as the alchemists clapped their hands on their ears.
