She could swear, she saw thick gray fur. She wanted to scream so badly but no voice left her throat. She was traumatized to even move.

Her conscience mocked. She heard the snap of the twig breaking and then her soul returned to her body. That was when she pivoted and made a blind dash for her escape but it seemed so damn far.
