Leah stood in the grand ballroom, overseeing the final touches being added to the opulent decorations for the upcoming ball. Crystal chandeliers glittered overhead, casting a warm glow on the elegantly draped tables and the polished marble floor.

She was meticulously planning every detail, ensuring that the event would be a grand spectacle, befitting her status as the Alpha Queen. Yet, despite the splendor around her, a bitter knot of resentment twisted in her chest.
