Elaine’s POV

Killian took a step closer, his eyes softening as he looked at me. "Elaine, would you like to go for a walk with me?"

I tilted my head, studying him. "Why aren't you at school, Killian?"

He shrugged, a faint smile playing on his lips. "I didn't feel like it today."

I raised an eyebrow, surprised by his casual response. "Didn't feel like it, huh?"

"Yeah," he said, his tone light. "Sometimes you just need a break from the routine."

I considered his words for a moment before shrugging myself. "Alright, a walk sounds fine."

He held out his hand, and I hesitated briefly before taking it. His grip was warm and steady, a stark contrast to the swirling emotions inside me. We walked out of the townhouse, the cool morning air hitting my face as we stepped outside.
