GENEVA’S POV

I felt my breathing start to stiff as it gets harder and harder to breathe due to this man’s rip. I know he’s listening to my thoughts right now and fuck him, fuck you, fuck you- His grip suddenly got tighter. I help his arm tighter as well. Okay, maybe a bad idea to curse him out.

"Curse me?" he asked and I tried talking but couldn’t. Let me go you fucking asshole!

I took a deep breath as I started to lose consciousness. I was about to pass out but I felt energy consume me. I opened my eyes wide as I stared at the man. I moved my hand and grabbed him by the neck and his eyebrows furrowed. "Lady Nyla!" Thelia shouted as she finally gained consciousness.

I started squeezing the man’s neck before I threw him to the edge of the balcony. I fell to the floor as I started catching my breath. I have no idea what just happened but I was strong enough to push him away. I held my neck as my breathing started to be better. I looked at the man and saw him smiling at me. He was about to attack again but Thelia got in front of me and cast a spell.

A blue barrier surrounded us and once the man tried to attack, he flew back to the edge of the balcony again. I breathed heavily as I processed what was happening. Are we safe now?

"I can only do this for a certain amount of time," Thelia said and I cursed under my breath.

(I see some of your powers are back,) I heard the man whisper in my head and I closed my eyes, trying to block him off. I suddenly heard growling and a massive thing hit the floor of the room. I opened my eyes and saw the white wolf again. Wilbur!

He bit the man's arm and dragged her down the balcony. I almost screamed, knowing the drop was high. The protective barrier vanished and Thelia collapsed. Oh my god! I grabbed her body and held her up. I breathed heavily as I dragged her to the bed and laid her down. She passed out.

I sat down on the ground and started having a panic attack. I'm having difficulty breathing but I still ran to the balcony and when I looked down, the white wolf- or rather Wilbur in his werewolf form was alone and the vampire was gone. (See you again, Nyla,) I heard the vampire's voice inside my head before it vanished.

Wilbur looked up at me before sprinting to the main gate of the kingdom. I held onto the rail tightly before I took a deep breath and listened to the bell ringing. It has been continuously ringing since the attack and hasn't stopped.

I took a deep breath before running to the door but it suddenly opened. I covered my face, hoping not to die but I just felt a hand grab my arm before closing the door. I opened my eyes and saw Wesley. "They're taking care of the-" He looked at me and his eyes widened. His grip went loose and my arm fell to my side.

"W-what? Is something wrong?" I asked as I touched every part of my face.

He grabbed a mirror and handed it to me. My eyes widened when my left eye turned completely black. "W-what.." I stuttered to say anything. My right eye is completely normal with my hazel eyes, but my left eye… the whole thing is black and no sign of any color.

A moment later, it turned back to normal. I blinked a couple of times and touched my eyes. "What was that?!" I freaked out and looked at him but it seems like he doesn't have an answer to my question either.

Wait- enough of that! Thelia needs help.

"She cast a spell earlier and it drained her," I said as I ran to Thelia who's passed out in the bed. He followed behind me and checked for her pulse. "She'll be fine. She might be a sorcerer but casting spells such as the protective spell she casted drain her energy too much," he explained and I nodded.

I deeply sighed before nodding and relaxing my body.

"What is happening outside?"

"The vampires, Lady Nyla. This realm is not at peace. Kingdoms are at war and the vampires are trying to conquer the realm. The werewolves and vampires can't live with one another peacefully. It was what you were trying to do a thousand years ago," he explained and my lips parted but I nodded anyway.

This still feels like a horrible nightmare. I just keep getting beaten up left and right! Now I'm in the middle of wars in this realm, considered as a deity, yet I still have no idea what the fuck is going on. Now I appreciate being a college student that suffers in exams rather than suffers here and possibly die anytime.

"Lady Nyla?" I shook my head and looked at Wesley- or Prince Wesley. I don’t really care.

"I- I’m okay.." I murmured and he nodded. When I thought things were over, I heard a loud and fine sound and I looked around in confusion. My eyebrows furrowed when I couldn’t hear it anymore and every part of the kingdom was silent as the bottom of the ocean. There was no noise anymore and I sighed in relief. I turned to Wesley with a smile but I saw him kneeling on the floor and covering his ears. "What’s wrong?!" I shouted and he groaned.

"Back.. off.." he uttered but I couldn’t understand what he said properly.

"What?" I asked in confusion.

"Back off," he said a little louder and I blinked a couple of times before going to the other side of the room. "You might not hear it but there’s still a thin noise that we werewolves can hear," he struggled to explain before breathing heavily and putting his arm on the floor.

I didn’t know what he was about to do but my question was soon answered when he suddenly turned into a black wolf in contrast to his brother who’s a white wolf. This is fascinating. "Beautiful," I murmured and my lips parted. He looked at me with a serious expression like he’s struggling before running to the balcony and jumping off.

My eyes widened and I ran to the balcony and saw him sprint to the entrance as well. I sighed heavily as nervousness consumed my undeniably stressed and confused mind.

I'm beyond confused. How can I not hear what they can…?

I started thinking and the lightbulb in my head lit up. "That's right!" I exclaimed. Don't dogs and wolves have a great sense of hearing? Now that the werewolves here can transform, or half wolves, their hearing is far beyond what I can comprehend. Their sense of hearing is probably better than normal wolves as well due to how massive they are, even bigger than a human-like me.

I looked around the kingdom and when I looked outside in the forest, my vision suddenly increased. It was like a flash forward to the woods and my eyes were zoomed in like the lens of a camera. I can see the details of the trunks of the trees present, the individual leaves falling, and a man standing from afar.

The man who almost choked me to death.

He looked at me as I looked at him and he smiled. I blinked and the world around me went back to normal. I can no longer see that far away and I'm tripping balls over here. That was awesome yet terrifying. I shouldn't have the ability to do that!

Maybe I really am a Goddess in this world?

(An hour later…)

The brothers came back in their human form and entered the room where both me and the sorcerer are resting. Thelia is still passed out which I feel bad for due to her energy getting drained because of.. well, me.

She protected my life despite us not knowing each other. Or at least I have no clue as to who she was but her family's generations know a lot about me that I don't even know myself.

This is beyond what I expect for my destiny.

"Are you alright, Lady Nyla?" Wilbur asked and I looked at him and I nodded. I looked over at his arm and saw it was bleeding.

"Is everything at peace now?" The brothers nodded.

"The vampires used the sound to distract us and had the opportunity to get away. It's been almost two months since they last attacked. The news about you must've gotten out of the kingdom already," Wesley uttered before he and his brother looked at each other before back at me.

"The news will reach the King and Queen by dawn tomorrow…" Wilbur said and I looked left to right.

"What happens then?" I wondered.

"A warm welcome to you, perhaps? Or maybe a horrifying one. They'll either introduce you to the new customs of the kingdom…" Wilbur wandered with his words and looked at his brother.

"Or execute you," Wesley continued his brother's thoughts and my eyes widened.

"What?!" I screamed and stood up.

"Beheaded," he added and I held my neck with both my hands, already feeling the pain. "Y-you use guillotines here?!" I freaked out as I covered my neck, cringing about the thought of dying by the guillotine.

First of all, I think that's one of the worst ways to die.

Second of all, I don't want my head to be detached from my body when I die!

"Aren't I a God here? Why would they do such a thing?" I asked while breathing heavily, traumatized by the imagination of dying from getting beheaded.

"They think you'll be taking the throne from them if you ever come back. And that the kingdom will fall when it happens, Wesley explained and I held my head.

"Are both of you in on this shit too?! You're not planning to turn me in, are you?" The men chuckled as if it was a game before shaking their heads. Prince Wilbur cleared his throat before smirking and sitting down next to me.

"Lucky for you, Lady Nyla, we were raised by our grandparents and taught how you… are what this kingdom exactly needs," he explained.

We were interrupted by a grunt behind us and we saw that Thelia had woken. I jumped from my seat and walked towards her. Once I was near, she suddenly grabbed my shoulders. "Thelia!" I screamed. I noticed how her eyes were white as snow and my eyes widened in fear.

She married into this family from a different kingdom but the King is too soft to make the decisions such as what she makes all the time. She’s vicious and cunning. "Has anyone here seen her?" My scent is recognized by the wolves and would easily catch me if I go near them despite the efforts of hiding. In order to avoid this problem, I have to smell differently. "I don’t want to rub myself against your fur!" I screamed in retaliation and crossed my arms. "Do you want to get caught then?" Wesley asked with a raised eyebrow and I scoffed before giving him a look. "Yes." I turned my head sassily as I continued arguing with him.

I breathed heavily as I carried her out of the cold and silent dungeon yet she was consumed by voices in her head. A silent chaos inside her mind that the vampires are causing. The sorcerer followed behind us as we made our way through the dungeon. "Can you put me down?!" Lady Geneva tried pushing me but to no avail. My eyes widened when I heard guards from a distance and I hid beside a wall before covering her mouth. "There are guards," I whispered to her and she stopped trying to bite my poor fingers off. The wind blew the candle and put out the fire. "Shit," I whispered before I felt Thelia’s hand on the candle and she took it from me. A moment later, the tip of the candle was burning again and I can see now, although not much. I looked at Thelia and smiled as she smiled back. "The kingdom is in chaos again," she said as her smile faded. She closed her eyes as we both listened to the constant bell ringing. "Where’s the book?" I asked and she opened her eyes before looking at me. "I don’t know," she answered and my eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean?" Agnes' hands around me after he caught me from falling felt like a strong lock around my body. "W-we failed to retrieve the wings…" I mumbled as we landed on the ground. I groaned from the pain as he laid me down on the cold grass to what seemed like the last thing I'll feel before passing. "You think I'll recover from this?" I jokingly asked with what little energy I had. "You're not a mortal, you will." I may not be a mortal but I sure as hell feel like one. My powers are weak, and I feel the everlasting exhaustion and pain a human body feels. In a world dominated by werewolves and vampires, I'm not a deity but just a mere mortal right now."What… w-were we?" I hesitated. "We're beings in this–" I shook my head lightly as I coughed. I looked to my side and saw the king holding me by my neck. "Get your hands off of her!" Wilbur screamed from behind as I heard chains wrap around his wrist. The king smiled deviously as he uttered, "Break the glass window." The guards looked at him with hesitance before gulping. "NOW!" They bowed down before stepping forward. I looked up, staring at the massive glass window with the shade of red."Y-you…" I tried to speak but I was silenced by the pain around my neck. He smirked before laughing maniacally. GENEVA'S POVI've never felt this type of pain in my life. The burning and hot sensation of the blood from my neck makes me feel like I'm at death's door. The pain and agony as my skin ripped apart was a pain I couldn't imagine. "A-Agnes," I whispered, out of breath as he continued taking blood from me. Soon enough, the pain was gone. It was as if it never happened. A numbing sensation was felt across my body as he continued. (I'm sorry, that should help,) he whispered inside my mind as he held me closer. It felt like hours but he only sucked my blood for a couple of minutes before removing his teeth that were buried down my neck. "W-what did you g-give me?" I asked before he lifted me up to carry me. "Something to numb the pain," he whispered before carrying me down the tunnel. I held onto him as I closed my eyes, not believing what just happened to me. GENEVA'S POV My heart was beating fast as the sorcerer helped me put on my clothes. They prepared a beautiful medieval dress in Earth tone that reached my toes with a puffed lower gown and pure white long sleeve top below the black corset. "I believe I didn't sign up to be your maid?" Thelia uttered before laughing as she tightened the corset. I'm not in a laughing mood. "He's going to get killed, what are we going to do to stop them?" I asked Thelia as she finished fixing my clothes. I look like a maiden in the eighteen hundreds, old style yet stravagant. I have no idea what pulls me into this vampire, why I want to save him, but I have to do my best in order to stop him from getting executed. I might be a deity in this realm but I have yet to earn their respect. They won't do as I asked because I'm powerless. I looked around and saw guards open the door to my room as they escorted both Thelia and I outside. The ceremony will begin and the brothers are yet to come home. What

WESLEY'S POVI was beyond shocked after reading the book. I scrolled further until I reached the page where the deity vanished a thousand years ago and how he stopped writing from then on. "The vampires did this," I read the notes before the page ended. The following page, it was blank. I scrolled further until I found the last page with text on it. This was recent, only a few days before we caught them. It is odd how he refers to her in an endearing way. Did they perhaps like each other? "She's finally in my arms again," I read lastly before my eyes landed on the wall where a piece of rock fell. My eyebrows furrowed before I put the book down and scanned the wall. It looks like something is behind it. I grabbed the rocks off the wall before pulling them with force. I was expecting to see the book be hidden but to no avail. It was empty. A loud howl from outside was heard and I immediately grabbed the journal of the vampire n

I was expecting this to be about the vampire's execution, or maybe the Deity's transformation, or even the hunt for the vampires but it wasn't. "Are you still searching for your mate?" I shook my head before sighing. I stopped searching for her when things got busy because of the Deity. "You need to find her or else you cannot be King," my father uttered and I clenched my jaw. "What if I don't want to be King?" I asked before raising my head and maintaining eye contact with them. My mother couldn't believe what she heard while my father stood up from his seat and slammed his hands on the table. "You are the next in line, you cannot deny your duties!" he shouted and I gulped.
