There He Is

When the hostess takes us to a table in a corner, Lion decides to sit right next to me instead of across from me and I realize it's because he doesn't want to let go of my hand, even when I try to pull it away from his grasp.

"Stop it. We have an image to maintain," he scolds me, forcing me to keep holding his hand. Then he grabs one of the menus and brings it closer so we can both read it at the same time. And just like we said, we order an exorbitant amount of dishes, starting with the most expensive ones, "And a bottle of your best wine, please."

I raise my eyebrows in surprise but don't question it because that means we'll probably be robbing them of thousands of dollars. Alcohol is also completely inaccessible now, but the waiter only smiles at Lion's confident order and nods before leaving.

Once the waiter returns and explains how exquisite this red wine is, he pours a little bit for Lion to taste.

"Hm, it is quite exquisite indeed," he says with a smile I now recognize as full
