Chapter 003 Meeting the Lunatic Alpha

Chapter 3

After three days of driving, they finally arrived at the biggest pack of Tarleton, The silverblood pack, a pack led by powerful generations of different clans. Compared to the pack she came from, it was nothing compared to her pack. The Silverblood pack territory appeared bigger and well-guarded so that enemies wouldn't be able to invade easily.

Judging by the atmosphere they've covered since they arrived at the pack, she could boldly say the Silverblood pack is much better than her pack. At least that was what it seemed to her.

She was sure the rumors of silverblood packs were true judging by the first sight of their warriors. Rumor has it that the Silverblood pack trained their warriors to be the best out of all. They're known to always fight massively as their lives depended on it whenever they were on the battlefield.

They've never forsaken their Alpha and always stay loyal to their pack, and just their first sight says it all to Eileen.

And for Alpha Odysseus, it wasn't the first time she had heard of how great the man was on the battlefield, rumor has it that their alpha completely turns insane whenever he's at war and kills mercilessly without mercy.

The moment she stepped out of the car she found some strange ladies in the same attires lining in a straight line, they all seemed to be waiting for someone but Eileen knew that someone was not her.

“Take her,” Said Beta.

Eileen looked stunned as she wondered if it was they wanted to take but she was much it wasn't her. How could it be her? When she just arrived in their pack? Where could they want to take her to? Beta Idris isn't talking to her.

The ladies began walking towards a particular direction increasing the tension in the situation. Beta Idris vaguely stood with his arm crossed growing at the trembling figure of the ladies who had been tasked to take away the newly brought woman for their Alpha.

“Take her away,” Idris growled.

One of the ladies who happened to the head of them swallowed hard, nodding frantically. She turned to the lady who looked both confused and frightened at the same time.

“This way, Miss,” The lady said expressionlessly.

“But….I don't understand,” Eileen protested, her voice barely a whisper.

“I thought I was supposed to meet the Alpha?”

Beta Idris' expression darkened even further.”The Alpha is not to be disturbed,” He snapped. “Now go with the healers,”

“The healers?” Eileen called again as if she had misheard the Beta's words, if she could remember clearly, she wasn't sick throughout the journey nor did she request any medical help.

Two among the healers on the straight line gripped her, making her flinch as if she'd been slapped, her eyes brimming with tears at the corner of her eyes.

As she was mercilessly pushed away, Eileen couldn't help but turn around to look at her maid who was fighting endlessly to follow her but the warriors were so terrifying that they pinned her down.

Their eyes met once again before she was finally taken away, Eileen could see the guilt in her eyes.

“Miss Eileen, take off your clothes,” said the healer.

The cramped room was dimly lit, with only a few rays of moonlight shining through.

Eileen stood in the moonlight looking more and more confused, her long hair covering half of her face.”Why do I have to take off my clothes?” She asked despite how frightened she was.

“Of course, we need to examine you and that's the rule of our pack,” replied the healer.

Glancing at the girl's tender skin, the other remaining healers could only have a scornful look on each of their faces, as they wondered if Eileen would still be able to keep her tender glowing skin after seeing the third moon in their pack, and their alpha's hand.

“ You have a few seconds to make your decision or else it'll get ripped off your body!” Said the healer in a stern tone when she realized Eileen wasn't making any attempt to get rid of the clothes.

Eileen pursed her lips and remained silent with her eyes filled with complex emotions.

It was as if the time was running faster than usual and before she knew it the few seconds that were given to her passed and the healers didn't hesitate to spring into action.

“What are you people planning on doing to me?” She asked but her question seemed irrelevant to the healers as they left it unanswered.

“Don't come closer!” Eileen yelled summoning courage as she clenched her fist as if she was about to start a fistfight with about six people.

Even though she knew there was no chance for her, she still had that courage and kept her posture while glaring at them.

“Get her,” The head healer said and almost immediately they grabbed her.

“Noooooo!” Eileen screamed out her lungs as her clothes got ripped off her body.

~~~~~~
Eileen sucked on her breath with her eyes closed as she stood at the back of the guards that led her to God knows. After her clothes get ripped off, she realizes that that has always been done to every other lady married off to Alpha Odysseus just to know her birth chart and medical chart.
She realized any of the ladies that failed the test would be sent out probably back to her pack or maybe enslave them, who knows? Eileen had hoped she would fail but she passed within a couple of seconds which she had to take as her faith.
“Let her inside,” Eileen could briefly hear the voice that was like a sudden gust of icy wind, cutting through warm air and causing Eileen's breath to catch in her throat.
The voice was low and gravelly, filled with an eerie stillness that seemed to echo off right inside her ears. Each syllable was like a shard of ice, sharp, and chilling as it pierced the silence.
“It's time to meet the insane Alpha!” A voice rang inside her head.
