Few days earlier.

David sat on the throne in the throne room. He was very confused about the decision to make over some of the Manor's guards negligence of their duty post

"We are sorry, sir" the guards chorused again.

"Do not say anything again" he scolded them angrily.

Alpha Jones was obviously doing a great job before he went on the journey.

David knew he had to punish these guards. They neglected their duties and that could have caused problem.

He was still unsure of which punishment he should made them serve. The Mage that should be with him to help with decision making was not helping in anyway. He had left all the running of the Manor's affairs to David.

"Do you know the gravity of the offence you committed?" he questioned rhetorically. "Anyway, this is what will happen. You will not be relieved in your duty post. You will guard double shift. That's your punishment" he felt that would be better than passing a judgment that could trigger a revolt.
