Chapter 196

"Stop!" Sophie yelled suddenly. She turned back to face Alpha Jones. "He should just go back" she said to him.

"Who?" Alpha Jones asked cluelessly.

"The Mage" she pointed to him. She had been thinking in both ways for a while and the best way was to leave someone behind.

The Mage was the most appropriate.

"Why me? We are going to face some people that have been existing when our forefathers were not yet born. If there should be a criteria to choose who should go, it should be age" the Mage said slowly and walked to the front.

"I guess she uses the same criteria and she thinks you are too old" David smirked.

"I am the oldest, inarguably the most experienced" he let out a sigh.

"This is a war with a higher propensity of getting defeated. We need someone to survive" Sophie insisted.

"I know you are the one calling the shots. Actually I'm tired if living and this is possibly the last war in this Manor, it will be a pleasure to die during that" the Mage retorted.
