Chapter 140

David came into the throne room holding a woman's hand. The woman's head was covered with a veil.

"You won't believe who this is" he stopped in front of Alpha Jones. He was breathing heavily.

Alpha Jones stared at the Mage and then Sophie. He later bursted into laughter.

"What's this supposed to mean?" Alpha Jones asked. "This is the new love of your life?" he joked.

"Talking about love of someone's life. You are right but she is not mine" David gasped and shook his head. He was visibly tensed.

"Then take off the veil and let us see who is underneath the veil" Alpha Jones said sarcastically. He must have thought David was trying to be funny.

The woman lifted her veil and threw it behind her.

It was a middle aged woman in her late thirties. She looked faint and her face was covered in fear.
