Fishy actions

Lucian did not believe a word out of Maya’s mouth. He still did not believe her. He knew there was something fishy about her actions. How had she known what was going on? How had she known Eden had been attacked? How exactly did she know where they could be? A million questions ran through his mind yet he could not answer them all as he was so upset.

What was she playing at? Was she trying to stab him in the back?

He could not help but think about everything that had happened. There was a part of the story he was not seeing. He was really worried as he did not know what to do.

“Lucian!” Eden called him, drawing him back to reality. He had been lost in thoughts that he did not know when she called him about three times.

“What is the matter? What are you thinking about?” Eden questioned, looking at him, her eyebrows raised. He looked at Maya’s face and she also looked at him, surprised. What was he thinking of that had taken his attention that much?

“Nothing. I.. I….” He tried to expla
