Chapter 107: She Left

Iram's POV

I got out, distressed at how things got out of hand.

I massaged my temples and sighed.

What am I going to do with her? That face... she may seem to resemble her strikingly but it doesn't mean she is actually the woman I once loved. I should get rid of her. That's how it should be.

If she is indeed her twin, then I should let go of her. I should not associate with her anymore. That painful death should have been enough to punish me like this. Why did someone that looks like her have to appear in front of me again?

I found myself walking a familiar path. I did not intend to come here since I wanted to be alone, but with her face haunting me like this, it makes me want to have warmth enough to defeat the coldness I am feeling.

I looked up at Annie Thompson's door. I was about to knock when suddenly, a chambermaid came.

"My King! My King, Madame Annie just left. Her room is empty," she informed me thoughtfully. "Did she not see you before she go?"

I looked at her in confusion.
