Serenity Knight
The palace reeked of money and power and the creatures as I quickly made my way down the hall, clutching my purse closer to me. My heart was thumping loudly inside my chest. No, I wasn’t scared of the creatures as much as I was scared of my Uncle.
It has been more than four hundred years since the supernatural creatures overthrew the government and took control. It’s been more than four hundred years since Alpha Theodore Black started ruling the human world.
“Serenity, you’re still here!? I thought you would know by now that humans are not allowed inside the royal ball. They might punish you for the contempt.” Miss Lydia, one of the warriors said looking at me with her wide eyes. I clenched my eyes shut, praying to God before turning around to look at her apologetically.
“Madame Lydia, greetings! One of the staff members got hurt while cooking in the kitchen, and she was bleeding too much for me to ignore her wounds. I am sorry for breaking the law, your highness. I will leave now.” I said hurriedly, bowing down in respect.
Before I could have made my way outside, I felt someone grabbing my wrist to yank me back forcefully, making me wince in pain. The pain was harsh and painful.
“Another human in the ballroom? You all are getting brave with the passing days, no? I think you need a lesson to learn how to behave and how to take orders without disobeying us, the creatures, in the future.” One of the guards said, and my eyes widened in panic and fear.
His fingers were, unknowingly, gripping the arm from the place where my Uncle had hit me with the belt, making me cry out in pain.
“William! She was about to leave, brother. She is just a nurse here.” Madame Lydia said, trying to get me out of William’s painful hold but the man was blinded with anger to pay heed to him.
“Just a nurse who should have left a good two hours ago. I know what she is trying to do! Fucking humans!” William cursed, pushing me with a force that sent me down, painfully.
I closed my eyes to feel the harsh impact of the floor, to feel the pain that was bound to come. But instead of feeling the harsh impact of the push and embarrassing myself in front of the royalties, I felt a warm pair of arms around my waist, preventing my fall.
Suddenly warmth engulfed me like never before. The fresh scent of shampoo and expensive soaps filled my nostrils. But something more alluring than the soap’s smell made my eyes open. The scent of coffee and something more masculine hit my nose, making me shudder. My fingers gripped the material of his jacket as my eyes met the stormy gray eyes of his.
Suddenly the world turned cloudy for my eyes. I could no longer see or hear things. As if I could only see those gray eyes, that were looking at me with curiosity and disbelief. For a second his grip around my waist tightened almost possessively, protectively, as if he was scared of losing me before his grip loosened around me, making me feel void.
“It can’t be.” He whispered harshly, staring at me as if I was his worst nightmare. But then his gaze softened as he reached out to touch me, to cup my face.
And I was standing there, dumbfounded, captivated by his gray eyes, that were holding me hostage against my will. I was unable to move. Something about him was stopping me from moving. My body leaned in his touch when he cupped my face, gingerly, gently, making my eyes close for the second time since we met, this time to feel his touch.
“You can’t be my soulmate. No! A human! No!” He said, his grip on my face increased firmly, making my eyes snap open. “No!”
Suddenly the warmth left my body. Coldness gripped my chest as his words registered in my mind, pulling me out of the reverie. My fingers trembled as I held his fingers around my chin painfully, and his gray eyes darkened visibly when I winced. He left his hold, making my body crave for him. But why?
“Wha…what?” I stammered out, and his glare intensified as he took a step forward towards me.
“She is a human being, Sire. I will punish her properly for breaking the law. Don’t stress yourself, your highness. She will pay for spoiling the royal ball.” William said, and my eyes widened in alarm.
You….your Highness? The man who held me; the man who protected me from falling down, called me his mate, his soulmate, is Alpha Theodore Black?
Holy mothers of unholy deeds!
“Fucking humans……” Before William could have reached out to hold me, Alpha King Theodore held him by his neck, his eyes turning black and his canines protruding out, dangerously. I didn’t realize when I let out a strangled cry as I saw the King pushing him back, and pinned me down, snapping William’s neck before letting out a growl.
“Sire…. Sire…. Please control yourself.” I heard Miss Lydia trying to calm the King down, who was on the verge of turning into his wolf. My wide eyes looked at him in fear and anxiety. I never someone snapping necks in front of me. I heard a couple of things, I treated people. But I never saw brutality happening in front of me.
“Do not touch me! Do not touch me, Lydia. Remember your place.” The King growled out in anger and I saw the warrior flinching back from the dangerous tone that was directed at her. She gulped her fear down and bowed down in submission.
“As the Sire commands,” Lydia whispered.
When I thought my fate was mocking me, I felt Alpha King’s gaze on me. His dark eyes were staring at me with an intensity that almost made me fall down on my knees. I swallowed the sudden urge to run away from the palace when I felt him walking towards me.
Something had changed in his stance. His gray eyes were no longer gray. In fact, they were simmering in darkness. His eyes were pure black, and the last glimpses of Alpha King Theodore left his eyes as he advanced towards me, almost in an animalistic way, but slowly, giving me time or maybe taunting me.
“My little mate, are you scared?” His low but deep voice sent shivers down my spine. It was his wolf. I could sense it. The sudden change in his demeanor was making my heart race.
He leaned forward, gripping my hair gently but firmly, pulling my hair back as he dipped his face down, letting his nose touch the crook on my neck, making me gasp at the sudden intimate action of his wolf. He was the one in charge of the King’s body.
“My mate. Do you know for how long you have made me wait, hm? For so long. So…. so….so long.” He whispered, letting his lip trail down my neck and I forced open my eyes, feeling the gazes of everyone on us. On me.
“Alpha Theo……” I started but trailed off when he growled at me, his lips pulled up in a smirk as he stared at me, mischief and darkness swirling in them.
“Do you know, my love, whom you’re talking to? I am his wolf. And you sound like honey. So sweet. So alluring. I can hear you all day. All night. With pleasure. You’re so……”
“Everyone is staring, Alpha. Please leave me. My Uncle…my Uncle is waiting for me, Sire. Please let me go. I am sorry for breaking the law. I will never come in front of you……” I started pleading in front of him and the softness in his eyes left as soon as I started speaking. His grip on my hair increased, making me clench my eyes shut. It wasn’t painful but I could feel his dominance. From miles away.
“Don’t test my patience, mate. I am not known for my patience. You just saw a live example, sweetheart.” He said, caressing my cheek, gesturing towards an unconscious or probably dead William, making my lower lip quiver.
“Please, Alpha.” I pleaded, a tear dropping down my left eye and I saw the rage melting down in his dark eyes as he gently wiped away the tear, making me stare at him silently.
“Audience. You’re not liking the audience, right, sweetheart?” Alpha Theodore’s wolf asked me, making my eyes widen as he snapped his fingers, his eyes still focused on mine, and suddenly the hall was empty.
And my eyes looked around, taking in the empty hall, staring at my ma…. Alpha Theodore, who was grinning at me, like an excited kid. But he looked more like a possessive one, ready to kill anyone who would dare to touch his candies. And I wasn’t very happy to be one of his candies.
“Alpha Theodore……”
“Theo. Call me Theo, little mate.” Alpha…. Theodore said, and I shook my head in horror. The last time someone did that, he was whipped until he couldn’t breathe. The stories of Alpha King’s cruelties are more popular than the stories of the curse he got from the Moon Goddess.
“I can’t. You…..you are my Alpha.” I stuttered in fear and he bent his face down, chuckling heartily as he nodded his head, walking towards me, amusement glinting in his dark eyes, his charcoal eyes were bright with amusement.
“Yes, yes, your alpha. Only yours. Do you how much you made me wait, my darling little mate? You made me wait so much. You should compensate me for every day you made me spend without you. Speaking of which, you haven’t told me your name yet.” He said, looking at me right into my eyes and I licked my lips, catching his attention. His dark eyes darkened even more if it was even possible.
“Alpha, please…”
“Tempting me now, are we?” He asked me, and I shook my head and he laughed darkly, twirling a piece of my hair in his finger, making me bite my lips. “Name, mate. What is your name?”
“Serenity Knight, Sire.”
“Mmm. And what did I ask you to call me?” He asked me, his dark eyes daring me to call him Sire or King again, making my insides curl and twist in ways they never did before.
“Theo.”
“So, what will you call me, Serenity?” Theodore asked me, his dark voice was making me feel things I never felt before. My heart was about to explode any moment now.
“Theo,” I answered softly and he hummed in delight.
“Yes. Call me Theo, Serenity. Only you can call me that. My serenity.” Theodore said, his lips touching my forehead as he gently kissed my forehead.
And the moment his lips touched my skin to kiss me, something burnt inside me. The fire I never felt before flared inside me. The control I always had over my actions, over my limbs, over my organs slipped out of my hand as I leaned closer to him.
My fingers, without my permission, touched his face, making his eyes bore into mine and I gently caressed his face, the smooth skin made my fingers tremble. And before I knew our lips met, and my eyes closed when his fingers fisted my hair while the other hand possessively held my waist.
The soft kiss turned passionate soon. I never knew a kiss can take your breath away. His soft lips made me crave more. And the moment we pulled away to breathe, his fingers wrapped around the back of my neck to pull me closer to him as he started kissing me again.
“You, Serenity, will be the death of me.” I heard him growl as he kissed me fiercely. I could taste him, and he tasted like mint and dark chocolate. So sensual.
“May I?” He asked me, holding the strap of my dress, and my sanity got washed out of me long enough because the next thing I did was nod. I nodded my head.
I don’t know why the fire inside me was burning my insides, and I felt like a wolf in heat. As if I lost control over myself. He looked at me, his dark eyes searching my eyes for a second before he snapped my dress into half, making the cold air hit my body.
Everything went in a daze. It was a like a dream, a mere dream as he took me to a room, and pushed me down on the bed, how I kissed him and how he made love to me. I don’t know for how long we were there in the room, with him over me, his hands holding my body, him entering inside me, worshipping my body as if I were some Goddess for him.
“You’re okay, little mate. You’re okay.” I heard him whisper as he kissed my scars, some fresh bruises on my body, making my eyes flutter. I offered him a weak smile as he got a towel from the cabinet and returned back after drenching it in cold water to wipe my body to wipe away the remnants of our intimacy.
“Theo,”
“Sleep, mate. You’ll find me here when you’ll wake up. I promise you.” Who knew promises were meant to be broken? Or better, humans never understand promises, even when you’re a part human and a part animal.
I woke up to sunlight falling on my face and I turned around to grab my phone but then I realized it wasn’t my room. My eyes jerked open when last night flashed in front of my eyes. The sharp pain I was feeling down there was enough to let me know whatever happened last night wasn’t just a dream. It was real. Every single bit of whatever I thought was my dream was real.
I met Alpha King Theodore Black and we mated last night. My eyes widened in horror. I touched my chest, and I was naked. I swallowed harshly as reality hit me. I never returned home last night. Uncle will kill me! And Alpha….. Shit!
I was pulled out of thoughts when the door of the room opened and Alpha King….. Theodore walked inside. His gray eyes met mine and I saw them turning dangerously cold and icy. His wolf was no longer in control. And suddenly I wanted the wolf to surface back. His coldness was hitting me harsher than I thought it would.
“You are a human.” He spat in disgust as he placed new clothes on the bed and pressed his palms against the mattress to lean down, to stare right into my eyes.
My chest ached as I found zero amount of warmth in them. It hurt to hear disgust and hatred in his voice for me after making love to me.
“Whatever……whatever happened last night, human, it wasn’t done by me. I was not in my control. It was my wolf. My wolf got distracted by you last night but it doesn’t mean you will become my Queen. I won’t disgrace myself by letting a human sit beside me on the throne.” His words were piercing my heart, breaking me into pieces I don’t know I would ever be able to gather back again.
“You and I mated……”
“It was a mistake! You were a mistake! And I don’t repeat my mistakes, human. Get dressed and leave.” He ordered lowly, and tears filled my eyes as I stared at him in disbelief.
“Theo, what……”
“Your Highness. I am your King. You will refer me with my title if you don’t wish to face the death penalty.” Theo…. Alpha King said, his eyes burning with rage and I felt a shooting pain in my chest.
“We are mates, Alpha……”
“And I reject you.” He said, his eyes holding no emotions and I sat there, numb.
“Wha….what?”
“I, Alpha King, Theodore Black, reject you, Serenity Knight. You are no longer my mate.”
“I reject you as my mate.” Alpha King repeated, his gray eyes turning black, in rage and anger. His harsh words kept echoing in my ears. I barely knew him. I met him a day ago. All we know about each other is our names and how our bodies look. Shame crawled up my body, seeping inside my chest as I looked down at my naked self. We mated last night. He…. his wolf made love to me. We got intimate last night. He kissed my scars. He told me how he had waited for me for years. For what? To treat me like trash?“You had sex with me last night, Alpha King Theodore Black! If you had to reject me, you should have controlled your horny wolf last night! Who the fuck gave you the right to play with me and my emotions like I am some sort of toy for you?” I asked him, angry tears rolling down my eyes as I glared at my mate, who silently stared at me. “Are you not? A toy? You gave in to the temptation pretty easily last night, human. And a mighty King like me deserves a strong Queen and not a weakl
Serenity Knight“Serenity is pregnant?” I heard Theodore ask the pack doctor, who nodded his head. He was staring at me with sympathizing eyes. “Yes, Sire. Miss Knight is pregnant. And it’s not normal for a human being to bear a werewolf’s child, that too a King. She is pregnant with royal blood, your highness. She needs special care.” The pack doctor continued, and my eyes burned with angry tears and rage. My eyes narrowed in a glare as I stared at Alpha King, who was too shocked to react. His gray eyes were changing colors. The golden flecks in them were getting consumed by the darkness, but other than that, he was not speaking a single thing. “I don’t want this child, doctor,” I said, and Theodore’s eyes widened before they narrowed dangerously in a glare as he stared at me in disbelief. His gray eyes turned dark. Something malicious swirled in his dark gaze as he bent down, leaning closer to me. “You’re talking about our child, Serenity. You can’t speak about aborting him.” Th
Serenity Knight I wanted to abort the baby. But somewhere I knew I didn’t mean my words. I could never harm my child, the innocent child who was not even at fault. But I wanted Alpha King Theodore Black to realize what he did to me, how he broke me, and how I can’t trust him with my child. But what Jillian told me, it made me stop on my feet. I turned around to glare at the witch, who was standing there, cool and unfazed, barely concerned about anything other than her Sire. “We are not sure what the fates have decided for her yet but all I can say is don’t let her stay away from you, your highness. She is carrying your heir.” Jillian spoke before bowing down and leaving his room, stunning me into silence. “Miss Knight, please lie down. I need to run some tests on you.” Doctor Paul said to me, smiling in pity and I clenched my jaw and obliged. It was not like I had any other option. After taking my blood for the blood tests and many other tests, Doctor Paul took his leave, leaving
“I am not hiding anything, your highness. And even if I was, it’s none of your concern. I can take care of myself and my fears.” I said, trying to remove his fingers from my jaw. Theodore’s eyes darkened visibly but this time his anger wasn’t directed towards me. “You can take care of yourself?” He asked me dangerously, leaning closer to me, making my eyes widen. “Ye..yes.” I stammered out, and he smirked, gripping the edge of the bed as he rolled himself so that his face was directly in front of my face, barely inches apart. His upper body was hovering over mine, making me gasp. His left hand caressed the back of my face as he gripped my neck, gently but firmly. His touch ignited sparks inside me, my skin burned sensually as his fingers touched my body, igniting my soul to fire. “You said you can take care of your fears as well, no?” He asked me lowly, dipping his face down, his lips moving against my neck, sending shivers down my spine. My fingers were fisting the bedsheet. M
After taking a long shower and washing, I walked out of the bathroom, dressed in a red dress that was reaching just below my knees. I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes had a different glow. My long hair was brushed elegantly. With a broad smile, I walked out of Theodore’s room and walked downstairs, to where his kitchen was. Perks of working in the royal infirmary. The royal dining room stilled as soon as I walked down the stairs. Everyone knew who I was. After all, they were creatures with supernatural hearing powers. But none of them dared to utter a single word. None of them dared to let the other person know that they knew their Alpha King was mated to a human being. Theodore stopped eating his breakfast. His gray eyes snapped towards me and his eyes widened for a moment. His eyes drank in my presence, gazing at me from my feet to my face, taking his time to check me out. With a sweet smile, I waved at him and walked near them. Several seats were empty around Theodore. His
They say jealousy is an ugly emotion. But when Theodore Black was shaking in jealousy, it was a very pleasing sight to witness. Especially when the man claimed that he had absolutely no interest in me. Asher stiffened beside me. He was scared for his life. And I didn’t really blame him. Theodore was looking livid in anger. A pleasurable shiver ran down my spine when my mate took angry steps towards me. Anger was swirling inside his eyes. I could see his vein pulsating in his neck. As much as unholy my thoughts were at that moment, he did arouse me. But then again, his presence was enough to make me feel hot from within. “Your Highness, I saw Miss Knight in the garden and came here to see if she was alright or not,” Asher replied respectfully and Theodore growled possessively as his fingers gripped Asher’s collars, making my eyes widen. “Your Highness,” I whispered, shocked and astounded. Theodore shook his head angrily, pulling Asher closer to him. “Leave, Asher. And I don’t w
Theodore Black had been ignoring me for the past two days. After confessing his concern for me, he refused to show me his face. I know he regretted confessing his concern for me when he stopped coming to sleep on his own to avoid me. Irritation spread in my veins when I found three new guards were stationed outside the room— she-wolves. All of them were female warriors. “What is happening here? Why are you all standing here and guarding me?” I asked them, and one of them decided to answer me in the most formal tone she could muster. “His Highness has ordered us to guard you because he doesn’t trust you with yourself. He said you’re more prone to accidents than anyone else in the mansion. We are just following the orders, Miss Knight.” Brunette answered and anger flashed in my eyes as I got up from the bed and glared at her. “I appreciate your loyalty to His Highness, Miss…..” I stopped, realizing I didn’t know her name. Amusement swirled in her eyes but soon they turned emotionless
“You think Alpha King Theodore Black is the perfect soulmate for you, Serenity, don’t you? Then let me tell you he was cursed for killing Moon Goddess’s only son.” Alexander painfully cried out, freezing me on the spot before he was successfully dragged out.My hands touched my flat belly as Alexander’s words echoed in my mind. He was cursed for killing the Moon Goddess’s only son. The father of my child killed a goddess’s son. My body trembled as I realized how strong my mate was. How strong can a normal werewolf be to kill a Goddess’s son? How can someone be so stone-hearted to separate a mother from her son?A warm pair of hands pulled me out of my dark thoughts and I flinched involuntarily when he touched me. Alexander’s words were still roaming inside my head. Hurt flashed in his gray eyes when he saw fear in my eyes. Carefully he made me sit on the chair. The hall was a royal mess. And that’s when I noticed that Theodore was no longer naked. He was wearing a pair of gray sweatp
"I am sorry. I dropped the plates by mistake." Scarlett gritted through her teeth, looking at me. For the first time since we met, I saw anger in her eyes. Her eyes were flaming, she had a sinister look in her eyes. The way her eyes narrowed in anger, and her fingers clenched in a fist, anyone could tell how furious she looked. My belly painfully twisted when her gaze stayed on me for long. "Are you okay, Scarlett? You look in pain." Theodore held my hand in concern, and I closed my eyes, taking a deep breath, shaking my head as I forced out a smile. "I am fine. Your child is mischievous and really terrorial. Just like its father and mother. Doesn't appreciate anyone's gaze on me." I said, speaking the last part out loud, looking briefly at Scarlett, who immediately lowered her gaze. She dropped the plates when she saw Theodore kissing me. She was glaring at me since Theodore wrapped his arms around me. She had been shooting daggers at me since then. "Scarlett, leave the plates.
Theodore looked at me when Scarlett asked him to cook for her as well. Normally, I wouldn't have minded but something about her made me feel uneasy. I closed my eyes, and nodded my head softly. I shouldn't let her affect me. "Sure." Theodore whispered, tying the apron around his waist before he started washing the vegetables, and removed meat from the fridge. "So, what are you cooking?" Scarlett asked Theodore, walking beside him, taking the knife from his hand, her hands brushing his forearm. My eyes narrowed slightly when she inched close to him, smiling sweetly at him as she started chopping the vegetables. Clenching my jaw tightly I looked away from them, taking a deep breath. "Can you shift a little, Scarlett?" Theodore asked her politely, but his voice was low, dangerous to my ears. My eyes snapped towards them. Theodore looked uncomfortable. His fingers were clenched in a fist, and his muscles were tense. He looked angry. "Actually, Scarlett, why don't you sit down and wai
Doctor Paul's silence was enough to give me a heart attack. My heart was pounding anxiously inside my chest, my palms were sweaty and cold. Was my child fine? The mere thought of something happening to my baby made tears burn my eyes. "Luna is fine, Sire. And as far as I examined, our heir is also fine. He is growing rapidly inside. We, wolves have a gestation period of two months. But she is a human being carrying Alpha King's heir. Things will be different with her. We never saw a case like her before, Sure. We never saw a human being giving birth to a werewolf's child. That too royalty." Doctor Paul said, and I let out a breath of relief. "But I am still not sure why Luna feels sudden pain whenever she senses something is wrong. We need to call the witches, Sure. We need to know more about the procephy." Doctor Paul concluded, closing the button of his coat, and Theodore's eyes narrowed slightly. "I don't trust the witches, Paul." Theodore's dark voice made me shiver. His finger
My mood was sour when Theodore dismissed my concern. For him, Scarlett was his friend, someone who always helped him when he was struggling with the curse. I can't really blame him for trusting his friend. And I had no idea how to explain to him what I was feeling. "Why do you look so angry? You look like a tomato, you see, Serenity. Red. Angry. Hot. Delicious. Maybe I can take a bite of you and know what is making you so angry?" Theodore said, walking out of the bathroom, towel draped around his waist, showing a lot more of his body. His golden skin was shining as droplets fell down from his damp hair, rolling down his neck, his chest. I gulped harshly when my eyes fell on his torso. Naked. He was naked except for a towel. The mischievous glint in his eyes made my throat dry, like sandpaper. And suddenly my sour mood, my anger, my frustration, every negative emotion I had piled up inside me melted faster than butter on a hot pan. I was gaping at him, like a fish. He was looking too
Scarlett Greene. She was dressed in a beautiful seagreen colored gown, looking royal as ever. For some reason, I could feel jealousy bubbling inside me. My eyes widened in shock, burning in jealousy when Scarlett Greene hugged Theodore tightly as if they had met after an eternity. And the rage inside me turned red, hot, ready to burn when Theodore hugged her back, as tightly as she was hugging him, if not more. "I missed you, Theo." She said, pulling away from him, and Theodore looked at her with a teary gaze. "I missed you too, Scarlette. You're alive. I….. I thought I lost you." He whispered softly, and my eyes narrowed in displeasure. "I thought I won't be able to return back here, Theo. I thought they would kill me. But I ran away from their captive. I need a place to stay, Theo. Please save me, Theo. Please." Scarlett cried, her tears troubling me from within. "Stay here, Scarlett. You have helped me so much when I needed you. I will never leave you alone when you need me, Sc
I thought the nightmares were put to end when I shifted to the mansion. But I was brutally pulled to the reality of my messed up mind when the past started haunting my sleep. I woke up with a scream. My body was shivering badly, sweat beading my forehead. Tears were rolling down my eyes. Everything felt so real. I could barely breathe. It was getting so hard for me to breathe, like someone had placed a stone on my chest, held my chest painfully, restricting me to breathe. And when I thought I would die from lack of oxygen, I was pulled to a warm embrace. My body was caged by a pair of warm arms, holding me tightly against them. "Serenity, shh, it's just a nightmare. You are fine. Nobody can hurt you, my love. Just take deep breaths." He ordered me softly, holding me in his embrace, rubbing soothing circles on my back. But it was not just a nightmare. I knew it was more than a nightmare. It was anything but a nightmare. It was a horrific part of my past. A part where everything is
Theodore walked inside his room with the first-aid box. His gray eyes were dark. He looked angry. But more than angry, he looked upset. I opened my mouth to speak, to apologize to him but nothing came out. I looked at him silently as he bent down in front of me, gently taking my arms to guide me on the bed. "Let me tend to your wounds." He said slowly, softly, and my heart broke into pieces when he started cleaning my cuts gently, not uttering anything else. A hiss escaped my mouth when the antiseptic met my open cut. And his concerned gaze looked up. Shaking his head, he blew on my cuts and scratches, making me shiver. "You are my Queen, Serenity. And I didn't appreciate you questioning my emotions for you just to make me do something." He said after a minute of cleaning my wounds. My heart started racing inside my chest when he looked up, his intense gaze making me swallow my spit harshly. He rubbed the insides of my wrist, looking at me without blinking his eyes. "I am sorry,
Alexander Woods was on the floor with my soulmate over him. Theodore’s arm was strangling his neck, his eyes were dark, as dark as they could have gotten. While the latter was struggling to breathe, my mate was angry. His body was shaking in anger. He was looking enraged, ready to lose control. His wolf was ready to take charge. “How dare you cross the boundary of my pack, get treatment from my soulmate, and try to harm her!? How fucking dare you touch her? She is my mate!” Theodore growled in anger, kicking him painfully in his gut, and Alexander curled in pain.“I won’t let you win again, Black! You won once! You killed Phoenix. I won’t let you win again!” Alexander weakly protested, and I saw Theodore’s eyes turn golden, flames of fire lurked in them, dangerously. "If I can kill Moon Goddess' son, Alexander, imagine what I would do with you for touching my mate! If I can kill Phoenix because he was proving to be a threat to the human race, imagine what I will do with you for har
Doctor Paul looked at me with amused eyes. While he was amused, others were shocked and they were looking too scared, and suddenly too alert. I could think of several reasons why everyone was looking at me differently. And the most fitting reason was the mark on my shoulder, glowing red, looking ferocious and wild. The claim that I was marked and Alpha King accepted me was proudly sitting on my right shoulder. Surprisingly it was looking good on me. I was never fond of tattoos but this was looked so beautiful. Though it was not a tattoo, it was still looking beautiful on my skin like it was meant to reign my body. “You are glowing today, Miss Knight. I believe the mark has to do something about it.” Doctor Murphy said as I helped other nurses in setting up the camp. Color rushed through my skin, and a blush spread my cheeks when everyone else looked at me silently but curiously. “Did the Alpha King really mark you?” One of the doctors, Amelia, asked me, touching my mark. Her eyes w
