At their house .....

"I don't know, I don't even know!" Lyra said in-between sobs in Maximilian's arms.

Maximilian pulled her closer as he wrapped his hands around her tightly comfortingly rubbing her back.

"I don't know what he's talking about?!"

"How can he even say or think I would do that to him!"

"Me of all people!" She slowly raised her head and looked up at Maximilian her eyes and cheeks were already very red from tears and her face looked swollen.

"You know me Max, look how badly injured he was! Do I even have the mind for it?!" She said in tears.

"I believe you!" He whispered as he pulled her closer and made her rest her head on his chest.

"There's must be some explanation for this, it's not like someone can just morph into you and do that to him!" He said and Lyra shook in his arms as she cried.

"That Hazel lady, I really just want to pull her eyeballs out of its socket! Who exactly does she think she is to throw me under the bus like that!"
