Alpha Kilhan

“Don’t you think that reward is just too much for her?” Drex asked, and I shook my head.

“Nothing is too much for my mate, Drex. You of all people should understand this. You found your mate, didn’t you?”

“Yes, I did. I’m just worried about you, that's all.”

“Don’t worry about me, Drex. I know exactly what I want and I want her. Have you started receiving any calls?” I asked, sitting behind my desk.

“Not yet. The papers were shared just this morning. It will take a little time before we start receiving calls.” He answered, and I bobbed, reaching for the files he brought to me.

“I think we should discuss our expansion plan to the pack. Who knows? They’ll have some ideas to share with us.” He added, and I nodded in agreement.

“Pass a message across to them. We will be having a meeting as soon as possible.” I answered and he nodded, standing up and walking out of the office.

I packed up a copy of the ‘Wanted’ posters we shared and stared at her face again.

‘I know this isn’t the best way to go about it, but I’m running out of options. It’s been two weeks and all search plans have proved abortive. I know you’re probably going to be so mad at me when you find out, but I promise to make it up to you as soon as we meet again.’ I thought to myself, letting out a feeble smile.

There was a knock on my door which interrupted my moment, causing me to drop the paper on the table again.

“What?”

“Alpha Kilhan, a man named Jarius is here to see you.” One of my bodyguards announced from outside the door.

“Let him in.” I responded eagerly, moving from behind my desk to the sofas in my office. The door opened and Jarius walked in with a large brown envelope in his hand.

“Alpha Kilhan.” He greeted me as we both shook hands.

I gestured to him to sit on one of the sofas and he did.

“What do you have for me?” I asked, and he passed me the envelope.

“I found something new. Two sealed records. First is the proof of half a billion dollars sent to an account in Texas by your father, and the other is a report from the autopsy carried out on his body. They found extremely dangerous amounts of Methamphetamine in his veins which caused them to collapse. They also discovered some internal bleeding, muscle breakdown and circulation issues.”

“Meth? How didn’t we know this earlier?” I asked in confusion , reading through the autopsy reports in my hand.

“Because it was hidden.”

Since I got to know my father, he had never once done drugs. ‘How is this even possible?’

“Who dares to hide something this important from us?” I muttered in anger.

“Alpha Kilhan, this is much bigger than we thought. We are dealing with a great enemy here. For him to have gotten this report concealed, then he is a man of power and influence, greater than we imagined.”

“I don’t care if he’s a god! I’ll find him and I’ll kill him.” I uttered with gritted teeth.

“The first record, have you found out who owned the account?” I further asked, raising my head to look at him.

“Yes, the account had the name Tima Maria. The money was withdrawn immediately the account was credited, and I also found out it was the first and last money to get into this account. It was closed immediately after the withdrawal.”

“And did you find this Tima Maria?” I further inquired and he shook his head.

“No one bears that name in the whole of Texas. I strongly believe it’s a made up name.” He answered.

I breathed out deeply and swallowed hard, thinking of what to do next. Everything was becoming more complicated than I thought, but it only proves that I was right. His death was staged.

“Find out who came up with that name. I need to know why my father hid that proof of payment. And for the autopsy report, make sure you find the bastard who tried to conceal it.” I ordered and he nodded, bowing his head.

“I’ll leave now.” He said as he made his way out of the office.

Deep in thoughts, I walked to my window and stared out blankly, trying to solve this puzzle I had in my head.

I made a promise to myself, no matter how hard it may seem, I’ll avenge my father’s death.

“Alpha Kilhan, the pack is gathered in the living room.” Drex said from the door and I nodded.

“I’ll join you shortly.” I answered, snapping out of my thoughts.

I waved off the worrisome look I had on and put on a fierce demeanor as I headed to the living room to commence the meeting.

“Alpha Kilhan.” They chorused, standing on their feet.

“Please sit.” I ordered and they all sat.

“I am sorry for the impromptu meeting, but I think it’s best we discussed a few things. Firstly, I’d love to know how far those posters have traveled.” I uttered, sitting on the sole, large chair in front of them.

“Alpha Kilhan.” One of my Gammas, Nelson raised his hand. I nodded and he stood up to talk.

“I believe they are all over the states in New York as we speak.”

“Even the unpopular states?” Drex asked, and he nodded.

“Yes. It’s everywhere.” He answered boldly.

“Great. Then who would be in charge of receiving the phone calls? Drex will be very busy these coming weeks, I need someone to volunteer.” I uttered, waiting for one of them to respond.

“I’m here.” Betty, my second Beta raised her hand with a grin on her face.

Betty has always been loyal and diligent to me. I do trust her but things got complicated when I found out she had feelings for me. I could be a womanizer but I’d never do it close to the pack. It was my home and I gave her that respect.

I had to slowly distance myself from her, giving her time to get rid of whatever feelings she had for me. It's been over a year now. I believe she’s over it.

“Great. Drex give the phone to her. I have another assignment for you.” I ordered and he passed the phone to her.

“The second topic of discussion is about the expansion of the K-properties. Just like we successfully shared those posters all over New York, I want the same for our properties. Now, I want each of you to pick one state in New York each.

“Any state you pick, you’ll be sent over there to supervise the place. See how things are done and then come back and tell us if we’d succeeded in such a state.” I explained, and they all nodded, paying rapt attention.

“Drex, list out all neighboring states to New York City and give each person a state according to their capacity, I included. We are in this together.” I added and they all nodded, clapping their hands.

Suddenly, the phone in Betty’s hand rang, commanding silence to everyone in the room.

My eyes widened and my heart began to beat very fast as I stared at the phone.

“Answer it.”

I got this.” I responded with a faint smile underneath my mask. “But I want to.” He answered, turning to look at the next customer. “Your order, please.” After finding out my father put a bounty on me, I lost focus. I became so disorganized because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I became slow to prepare customer’s orders and even spilled coffee twice, right in front of the customers. Xavier must have noticed this and that was why he decided to help. ‘Now, there is no way I’m coming out without a face cap or mask, except I change my look.’ I began to think of ways to do so, and I came up with a great idea. ‘I would trim my hair and put my wigs to work. I’ll learn how to apply makeovers that would completely change my face.’ My father may be a smart man, but I’m smarter. After managing to get through the day with Xavier’s help, closing time was finally here. I cou

~Celine~ Today is a special day. It’s the Wolf Moon and here in Beacon City, according to Xavier, it is often celebrated by a masked Moonlight party. Everything here is just so different compared to New Orleans where my father rules. Today in New Orleans, some people never step out of their houses because of how messy it can be at night. My father would even order some killings on this day. It is the greatest alabi he’s always had. Initially, I wanted to stay home tonight, but then Xavier invited me to this party. At first, I wanted to refuse because I have a f**king bounty on me. But later I agreed to go with him. It’s a masked party. Nothing can go wrong. I stood in front of my mirror, faced with my reflection as I began to apply my makeup for the day. There are so many things I’d love to put in place before stepping out of my house and into a party filled with wolves of heightened abilities. I put on my grudge eye makeup, fixed my wine bob wig, and put on lots of body spra

~Celine~Even though I knew deep down that leaving Xavier alone at the party was uncalled for, I couldn’t ignore Alpha Kilhan’s constant sulking, begging me to go home with him. But I couldn’t just make such a decision. I had a life in Beacon City and I couldn’t just let go of it and return to New York City, especially when I still have a bounty on me. My father is probably still turning the earth upside down just to find me. I can’t come out of this mask. Not now. “Jessica baby, C’mon. You don’t have to think too hard about this. We both know we are supposed to be together, don’t we? We feel the same thing. The same intense connection. Why is it so hard to accept this?“Are you scared I’ll hurt you? I will never do that. And if you think I’d be with another woman, erase that thought from your head, I haven’t been with any other woman since we met. So please, come home with me.” He further convinced me, staring into my eyes. I knew he was my mate. But am I ready to settle down wit

~Celine~ Getting outside my apartment, I looked up and found Kilhan already close to Xavier. With one hand, he grabbed him by the neck, lifting him from the ground and aggressively pinning him against the wall of my apartment. “Kilhan!” I called in terror, as fear and awe glued my feet to where I stood. “Uhm… let me go,” Xavier grunted as he grabbed Kilhan’s hand, struggling and fighting for his dear life. Kilhan said no words, but his eyes said a lot. They were burning in rage, and he didn’t seem to mind if Xavier lost his life right on that spot. “Kilhan, please.” I finally moved from my doorstep and moved closer to him. I wasn’t sure what to do to stop an Alpha in such a situation. He was gone in rage. Before I knew it, Kilhan raised his left hand and I saw his claws protrude out of his fingers so fast. My eyes popped wide open as my brain immediately registered what was about to happen. “Kilhan!” I yelled, hastily embracing him from behind. “If you do this, I will never

~Celine~The ray of the sun found its way into my room through my window, hitting my sleepy face. “Uhm.” I groaned, turning to my side so I could avoid the intense brightness I could feel under my eyelids. My eyes slightly opened as I stared at the wall. At first, my vision was blurry, but then I blinked several times until I could get a clearer vision. Memories of the previous night came running down my memory lane, making me roll my eyes. Kiara made me do what I didn’t want. It was indeed pleasurable, I enjoyed it. But, if I had my way, he wouldn’t have marked me so soon. While I thought about it, I recalled we fell asleep cuddling, but now, I couldn’t feel him close to me anymore. I turned to my right to look at him, only to find out I was alone on the bed. He was nowhere to be found. “Alpha Kilhan?!” I called, looking at the door to my bathroom, hoping he was going to answer from inside there or come out, but I was wrong. He made himself clear last night! Why did he have to do this?‘That is why he was nowhere to be found when I woke up!’ Getting into my apartment, I began to pack my clothes again. This time, it was to run away from Alpha Kilhan as fast as I could. “I knew I should never have trusted him! I knew he was just like the other horrible Alphas! I will never go with him! I hate him!” I yelled in guilt for Mr. Norway’s life. Because of me, their family was destroyed. I just wanted a normal life! ‘Why would the Moon Goddess give me an Alpha mate after what happened to my mother? If this isn’t cruelty, I don’t know what is!’ I filled two large boxes with my clothes and other important amenities. I emptied my money-safe box and put it in my backpack. “He will never see me again. He will regret doing this.” I muttered

I was having the best nap of my life and he decided to ruin it. “C’mon, Jessica. You can continue sleeping inside, okay? I bet your neck hurts from sleeping here.” He added, unbuckling the seat belt that held me to the chair. “Hmm… fine,” I responded, finally opening my eyes. His face was very close to mine, and he kept smiling sweetly at me. “Welcome back.” He teased, causing me to roll my eyes and playfully push him away. I smiled softly as I raised my head to look at his mansion. I lifted my eyebrows as I was completely mesmerized by the beauty of his house. It wasn’t only big, but painted in white. The window and door frame were coated in gold glitter. I knew I shouldn’t expect something less. Before I could get out of the car, I saw some men, about six of them, rush out of the large door of the house, taking long strides towards us. “What’s happening?” I

I instantly fell in love with his look. “White?” He uttered, checking me out. “You like it?” I asked boastfully, and he smiled and nodded. “You look beautiful, Jessica. I sprang to my feet and ran out of the room to grab him, only for me to see that Kilhan had grabbed him already. “Haa.” I sighed. “He’s so fast for a two-year-old,” I muttered, shaking my head tiredly. “Well, he is my son, of course, he’s going to be faster and stronger than any other child. I can’t wait for him to start running faster than this.” Kilhan responded while Kendrick chuckled in his arms. “Time is all you need. Now, can you please get him away from me so I can rest?” I asked with a smile, planting a kiss on Kilhan and Kendrick’s cheeks. “Right,” Kilhan answered and turned to leave. “Mama,” Kendrick called, waving at me as Kilhan started to walk away. “I love you, baby,” I responded, blowing him a kiss before heading back into the room. I got into the room and slammed into the bed. I lay flat on my back as I stared at the ceiling. About a year ago, before Kendrick turned one, Kilhan and

Kilhan ordered that his late mother be buried in the compound so she’s always close to home. He needed that warmth. At my right stood Celine, holding onto Kilhan tightly. Sadness was evident on their faces. One of his men held up an umbrella for them. I kept a straight face, adjusting my black shirt and tie as I watched them put her casket into the ground. “Are you okay?” Caesar asked softly, and I nodded, keeping my eyes on the casket. “Yes, I am. His exact words were “I am coming with you, Alpha Charles. I’ll be ready to protect you if anything happens.” Soon, Kilhan, Celine, and his pack members moved forward to pour sand on her casket before it was covered. All this while, I took g

~Alpha Kilhan~ Panting hard, I began to break into the rooms one after the other, leaving Charles and Drex to deal with the men who were watching and guarding the place. I stormed into the fifth room, and what I saw made my eyes widen in terror. Celine sat on a chair and behind her was a man, who had a knife placed against her ear. There was blood slowly flowing from her ear, letting me know he was starting to hurt her. Immediately he saw I was in the room, he moved the knife to her neck. “Take one more step and that is the end. He pressed it so hard that she winced in pain while she stared at me with her teary eyes. “Kilhan.” She called softly. “Don’t you dare speak, woman!” He yelled, pressing the knife against her skin ever harder. “Hey!” I put my hands forward, hoping he would stop. “Tell me what you want. ~Charles~ Sitting in front of the computer, my mouth parted in a wide yawn as I reached for the coffee cup next to my hand. If I counted correctly, I already spent three hours in the private room, with my eyes fixed on the screen non-stop. I just understood why my late father never left this room. After taking a large gulp from the coffee cup, I took a glance away from the screen to place the cup back on the table, only for me to look up and see that the computer had gone off. “What the hell is wrong with this thing?” I muttered in frustration. It was the second time in three hours that it had gone off and it was beginning to piss me off. I had to call Ceaser both times to make it start working again, but this time, I was going to do it myself. I watched him closely both times. ‘I can do this.’ I stood up and pushed my chair back.
