Hello! Sorry for the delay. Enjoy and give me your thoughts ;)
~Christian’s POV~ We finally graduated and it was the best feeling in the world. Taking over my pack completely was another. Those two were at the top of my list of accomplishments. Unfortunately, making Natalie my Luna was a failure and I had to be okay with it. I did miss her and wanted to see her. It was hard and sad not to see Drew or Iris anymore. My parents were bereaved about Drew’s death and Iris leaving to be with her daughter. My Mother and Iris had become great friends as the years went by. They both showed up to Ivan’s pack to say their goodbyes. A few warriors went as well even though the whole pack was sad and upset about his death and wanted to be there. However, I couldn’t risk leaving my pack unattended. Instead, we held our farewell ceremony for him. Natalie joined when I video called her. Iris couldn’t join. She was still mourning and it would make things worse. Natalie promised to show her when she was better and stronger to handle it. A part of me wished Iris
I was five minutes away from Ivan’s pack house, nervous as heck. When I called him this morning, he was surprised. He didn’t sound bothered, but I could tell he was stunned by my phone call. I’ve never called him, only during that time when Natalie disappeared. I don’t know why I was worried about his reaction. When he asked why I was calling, I responded telling him I wanted to see and talk to Leslie. He was silent for a few seconds. I could hear Natalie asking him who he was speaking to. When he explained, she took over the call putting me on speaker. She was so cute saying she was glad to hear from me. Ivan growled, but I guess I would’ve acted the same way if she was my girl. I told her that I wanted to see Leslie. She squealed and said, yes, that I was more than welcome to come and see her. I’m guessing she smacked Ivan on the arm or chest because he cleared his throat and said it was fine.He added stating that he also wanted to talk to me about the other pack involved in the at
We headed to the pack house hand in hand. Ivan was waiting for us. He stared at our hands entwined with each other. I didn’t release because I had assured him I wouldn’t hurt his sister. “What’s up, Ivan? You didn’t give us enough time, what is so urgent that you interrupted us? Do you want me to tell Natie–” Ivan frowned and cut her off, “No Les. I’m sorry, something came up and since Christian is here, it is urgent because I’m sure he wants to be involved too.” He looked at me and I knew that look. It was about the other pack. “Hey Les, it’s okay, beautiful. It must be really important. I’m sure he wouldn’t interrupt us knowing Natie would kick his butt.” I chuckled and Ivan growled, “You say that, but if Natie was your mate, you’d probably be worried about pissing her off.” He sounded irritated. “But she isn’t Ivan, so…” I was shocked at Leslie’s tone. Was she jealous? I felt giddy. “I promise once we are done talking you guys can go back to ‘talking’,” he emphasized the word ‘ta
~Ivan’s POV~ I was a bit nervous heading to my room. I hated pissing Natalie off, but I wore my emotions sometimes on my sleeve, only when it came to her or Leslie. I couldn’t help it, I once hated Christian but now that I know for sure he is fated to Leslie, I mean come on, it was f*cking obvious. As I walked up the stairs, worried that Natalie was going to kick my a*s for the way I behaved, my phone rang. I pulled it out from my pocket and groaned, it was Christian. Didn’t he just leave a few minutes ago, which by the way I had a warrior watching them from afar. I still didn’t trust him, but he came back saying he behaved like a gentleman. Hard to believe. “What’s up, Christian? Did you forget something?” I asked blankly. “No, I have a question for you. I didn’t have time to ask you alone, so now that I’m on the road, I thought I’d call and ask.” Okay. “Alright, ask away,” I said, feeling curious. “Ivan, how did you know for sure Natie was your mate? I mean how because my wolf
When they left, I suddenly got a strong gut-wrenching feeling that things would go sideways. I couldn’t explain it because somehow it felt more like a premonition. I did what any smart person would, be two steps ahead. If I was wrong, oh well, but the important thing is to be prepared for anything. I would bring hell to Jax if anything happened to my girl. So, I called Christian, “Ivan? What’s up? Did something happen?” It was almost 3:30 in the morning. “Christian, I don’t know why, but I'm anticipating that something will not go accordingly. I don’t want to worry you, but my girl and Nate are putting their lives at risk for us all. I think it would be best if you gather your warriors and head over here. I’m going to do the same. Have your Father take over in the meantime, but get over here as quickly as you can. Like I said, it’s a feeling, but you know those feelings are hardly wrong.” He exhaled, “Hell Ivan, I understand. You’re not wrong, it’s better to be safe and prepared tha
~Nathan’s POV~ I was on my way to the tree when, ‘Nate, I think I’ll be a little late. Seems I’ve been invited to a party.’ What the… ‘Party!? What, what are you talking about Natie!?’ I responded, but nothing. DAMN IT! Natie! Natie!’ I was yelling through the mind-link, but she never answered. I was confused, did she get caught? The woman was good at knocking people out and pulling weight. Did she want to get caught? She had too, there was no other explanation. I waited a few more seconds. Then I heard them rushing out. “We have a spy in our hands! The Alpha is coming. Take her to the dungeons.” A wolf yelled out. I’m sure he was of authority. ‘F*ck, I don’t think we bugged the dungeons,’ I told Sirius. ‘I think the f*ck not, nut case!’ He growled. ‘Shut the hell up and quit being rude! What do we do? We need to tell Ivan.’ I yelled angrily. I didn’t have time for his smart-a*s remarks and sarcasm. ‘Call him. They have our Luna, our friend, so we need to tell him. They’ll h
~Ivan’s POV~ “You were too nice. I would’ve said, ‘If you like to breathe, then I suggest you stay inside your home or die’, Ivan,” Christian snorted. “Yeah, well…most of these people are innocent and don’t agree with half of the crap their Alpha does. Besides they have kids and it would be heartbreaking if some children lost one or both parents, I speak from experience. So giving them a chance to think about those little ones and their loved ones will make them think twice before joining a fight that shouldn’t be theirs, don’t you think?” He shrugged, “ Meh, I guess you do make a point. I’m not in your shoes so...” It made me smile when I saw wolves running to their homes and shutting their doors. “Do not attack any homes that have their doors closed. Let’s respect those wolves who choose not to fight.” My warriors and the other pack members nodded. There has been so much death lately and those that chose to follow Jax’s orders, like the ones during the attacks that took place in
~Natalie’s POV~ Summer was almost over. The pack faced the fright of their lives, but so did I. Ivan was put in a coma. When Jax shot him, hitting his chest and abdomen. He missed his lungs and heart, but his intestines weren’t so lucky. Wolves heal from so many external wounds, but when it comes to our organs it’s a different story. Luckily, the doctor in the Dark Forest pack was there to help Ivan. There was no time for X-ray, CT, MRI scans, or blood tests to examine his body. I lost him for a few minutes and it was the most excruciating pain I have ever felt in my entire life. Zoe was howling like crazy and I could feel her growing weak. Christian, Nathan, Landon, and other warriors were there to support me. Everyone in the Midnight pack felt the link break for a few minutes too. Easton explained to me that he cried out in pain and so did Leslie. They were beyond scared and heartbroken. Tell me about it. Unfortunately for Riley, he had to face my wrath at that very moment. Nev
