9 - It's a girl

Did he just call me "love" again maybe it is his method to address any girl I think? Never mind I asked him again "Do you want to know how I survive the rejections right?"

He responded, "Yes if you are comfortable with it."

I replied with a heavy heart it still hurt but I don't show this to anyone. "It was two rejections, My family supported me very much, they distracted me from all the pain, and they gave me more work and more responsibility so that I can be on my work and not think about them. I work day and night to improve my skills. The first one was very difficult, but I manage because my family was always there."

He replied to this, "I am happy that you manage and your family supported you. But remember this I won't hurt you ever."

He quiet for some time and said "You said to reject you, why is that?"

I sigh and replied, "Because I don't want to be weak now."

He asked again "But why? Why will I reject my mate."

I said, "because I am a Beta, an Alpha should always mate with an alpha."

He responds "I don't believe in this nonsense, is everybody think that the moon goddess does this mating without even thinking, She did it for a purpose, she knows everything and I am blessed to have a mate."

His thoughts are great but not everybody thinks this way. I said, " Not everybody thinks this way."

He said "I don't care, I am the king I make the rules, and

As I said earlier, I want my mate, I won't hurt you, I was waiting for my mate for the last 11 years regardless of who you are."

I was speechless at the moment what should I say I don't want this, I don't need this.

He continued when he saw I was uncertain "I want you Kate morgan. I want you to be my queen our queen."

And I panicked "No, no... It can't happen, I don't need to be, ... And I screamed.

He was scared and came close to me to calm down, he embraces me in his arm and soothe me to calm down. And I calm down a little so he released me and said: "Baby, don't be scared, I will be with you forever if you accept me please."

I said "No" again

"I think you are scared but I assured you that you will be always treasured my dear," he said genuinely

I was still in denial and he offered me "okay, let's do it this way, Give me some time to prove to you that I am willing to accept you and I will always love you. If you found that I am not suitable for you then you can reject me and I will accept your rejection." The last part was very hurtful to him he said those words clenching his fists.

I again wanted to protest but he interrupt me "At least think about it, till you are here for the meeting." he requested me now and I feel guilty.

So I replied to him, "Okay, I will think about it."

He grinned after hearing my words and changed the topic "So tell me about your Alpha, why did he send you alone here."

I smiled now and said, "I am not alone here Gamma Richard is here too but he is sick so he is taking rest and as of my alpha His wife/mate is pregnant and can give birth to a child at any moment. I talked with my alpha and he said they are in the hospital so I am waiting for the news."

"oh, that's wonderful, kids bring joy into the house," he said

So I asked him "Do you like kids too?"

He smiled and said "I presumed you like them too." and we both chuckle

I felt my head feel heavy and it always happens when someone tries to link me.

I said to Alpha king "My king," and he interrupted me " Please call me Ray."

And I smiled and said " Please wait my king." he scowls at me and I laughed

He said, "I told you to call me Ray, Kate."

"It's difficult my kin... Ah. Sorry sorry, Ray." he grinned and I like his smiles.

He asked, "What you are about to say?"

I replied "Oh wait, " and I try to link my Alpha 'Alpha,' I said in my mind. And ask 'What happened?'

He cried and said happily 'It's a girl Katie.'

I got too excited and my concentration was distracted I unlink him.

Alpha king was just petrified and ask "Did you just link someone?"

I replied very happily "Yes, my Alpha and it's a girl." I went to him and hugged him tightly

He was so confused about what I said but the hugged win over his confusion, he hugged me back and an electric current passed through our body that spark run down my spine and I want more when I look into his eyes he asks me permission to continue and I nodded and he kissed me, he kissed me on the lips and my heart started to race faster and it is difficult to breathe but it feels so good so much good that I forget where we are and what I am doing.

When he went to my neck and inhaled my scent I feel goosebumps all over my body and I shuddered.

He liked my reaction but he stopped himself, as he think I will not like it any further. And that's the first thing I like about him. He respects my time to accept him.
