Silvia couldn't sleep the whole night. Though she had locked the cottage she kept tossing and turning on the bed. Her senses were hyper-aware, she was afraid that he might show up again.
Never in a billion years, she thought her life would become more difficult after escaping Alonso. At first, she was afraid that Alonso would find her but now her fear was doubled thanks to Hunter. She was scared that he might show up again and torment her.
The girl stared at her reflection in the mirror as her tired eyes peered back at her. She looked drained.
She couldn't understand his craze for unveiling her secrets when there were none. How could he blame her for being a criminal just on his instincts? She couldn't even make him understand because he didn't want to listen. How was she supposed to cope with this torture?
Sulking, she freshened up and ate cereal. Once done with the breakfast, Silvia opened the windows and sighed feeling the fresh air caressing her skin.
The best thing about staying in the forest was nature. She has fallen in love with it.
Silvia spread the mat before she sat on it with her legs crossed. The girl straightened her posture. Closing her eyes shut she let the magic flow through her veins.
She focused on her powers and tried to see a glimpse of the future just as Agatha had taught her but no matter how much she tried, she couldn't succeed. The visions come to her at random times. Agatha was teaching her to control it but it was almost impossible.
Silvia was not only a witch but a seer too. Almost all her visions were true. Though it was great to have visions and know the future, the horrendous fate of people always left her baffled and it pained her to know how someone's life would turn out.
She had tried to change the future of someone once but it was of no use. The person died anyway but in a different way. But that doesn't mean she'll give up on her aim.
Though she was a witch, Silvia was unable to control her magic. She could only make someone say the truth by looking into their eyes, and healing minor injuries, other than that her magic was full of flaws. That was why she avoided using it because she didn't want to hurt anyone.
"You're wasting your time," A deep baritone voice laced her skin with goosebumps as her eyes flew wide and she flinched almost having a heart attack due to his sudden presence.
Her wide eyes gaped at the huge man standing in front of her and she was immobilized with the shock she couldn't even move.
She didn't hear him coming. How did he come inside? Her throat dried up when she found him smirking at her.
"My bad, I startled you," Hunter said casually, his hands tucked in his pockets and thumbs out. He was wearing black cargo pants, black combat boots, a black turtleneck with the silver chain dangling on his neck, and silver rings with his hair a ruffled mess. Those jade green hues stood prominently out like cold icy glaciers in all black.
Silvia swallowed thickly as she lowered her gaze. She tried to stop the trembling of her fingers. The girl inhaled deeply before closing her eyes as she focused on the flow of magic in her veins.
She wasn't surprised because as an overthinker she had expected him to torment her after all he found out where she lived. The last few months were peaceful without him but now as he found her how could he let her live in peace?
After all, it was Hunter Colt who has made it his mission to torture Silvia on baseless claims.
His amusement washed away when he saw her ignoring him.
Hunter quietly sat on the bench in front of her. They were on the porch as the rays of sunlight kissed her skin. That caramel dusty skin glowed like a mixture of glitter and gold as he watched her quietly.
She had her eyes closed and her black lashes were longer casting a shadow on her cheekbones.
The girl was trying to avoid him but he could see how her eyeball was moving around through her eyelids. She wasn't able to concentrate because of him. Excellent.
Hunter was planning to keep an eye on her from afar but it was boring.
"So many months passed and you are still learning to control your magic," He mocked, hoping to see a reaction out of her but she gave nothing away.
"I'm pretty sure you were lying to Agatha and everyone. You were able to save Draken yesterday. Only skilled ones with magic could save someone," He said and a smirk kissed his lips when she snapped her eyes open and those hazel pearls glared at him but then she noticed his position.
Hunter was sitting right in front of her with his legs open wide, he was leaning forward while his elbows rested on his knees.
Silvia pulled to her feet and trekked inside, not answering him.
Hunter didn't follow her. He just sat there smirking while staring at the beautiful scenery. Everything was so dull in the last couple of months. He likes the thrill. He couldn't wait to unravel her true self.
She could pretend all she wants but he was sure she'd make a mistake or contact Alonso, then he would capture her red-handed.
Silvia stomped inside her room and she closed the door shut locking it.
She'd lose her mind if he kept on showing up here like this. Why hasn't Agatha come back yet?
She paced in the room hoping that he would get lost and she'll be able to breathe freely but who was she kidding?
Hunter made sure to loom near her every day, tossing mocking remarks here and there to earn a reaction out of her. Because of his constant presence, she started spending more time in the forest thanks to her portal magic. He would leave at night and would come back every morning like a demon of hell.
Silvia had this great urge to use all the spells on him as a test and if he gets hurt then it'll be fun but she wasn't a bad person.
If she became just like him then what would be the difference between them?
If there was some kindness left inside her. She wants to protect it.
After all, she was all she had. If she lost herself then there would remain nothing but just a living corpse.
He was standing near the doorway leaning against the door frame watching her like a hawk. Silvia had enough of him. She couldn't breathe normally with his daunting presence looking over her like a death sentence. With all the mustered-up courage she slammed the spatula on the slab before stomping over to him. Hunter seemed unfazed as he watched her. "Stop this, why don't you leave me alone?" She asked through clenched teeth. "So that you can contact Alonso? I wonder if you go to him each time you disappear into your portal," He said in a cold tone causing her heart to clench at his accusation. "You and I both know there's nothing like that. So stop keeping an eye on me. I'm not a prisoner," She grounded and he tilted his head. "Be grateful I'm being nice and only keeping my eyes on you when I could be far more dangerous. I bet you won't like that," He said coldly, causing chills to run down her spine. She wanted to stab her fingers into those jade orbs and make him go blind bu
Months passed and there was no clue about her or Alonso. Hunter has been searching for her along with three of his best trackers but they just couldn't get a hold of him. It was like Alonso didn't even exist. Before Silvia wasn't with Alonso, Hunter could still track him from time to time but Alonso would escape before Hunter could reach him but this time he couldn't even track him. Hunter was sure it was all thanks to that witch who was helping him hide with ease. He knew she works for Alonso all along. He left for one day and she vanished with ease making a fool out of him. He couldn't sleep at night thinking of ways he'd torture her once he will catch her. Never in his life had he let an enemy escape from under his nose but she did. The reason all of this infuriated him, even more, was her innocent act. He sprang up on the bed, tossing the sheets away he changed into his gym wear and stomped in there. With a clenched jaw, he threw solid punches at the punching bag. With each o
"Almost," He hissed, pulling the car over with a screeching noise near the other black cars, there were three of them with their doors opened and no soul around. His men had called him a couple of minutes ago saying they were attacked by the witch and those men with her while following them. They were able to kill a few before Hunter lost contact. Hunter dashed towards the scent of his men only to find the dead body of someone dressed in black. It didn't take him much time to realize this must be one of the men with her. He heard groans as his pace fastened and he came to an opening. His eyes fell on the number of guys surrounding his men while a man was escaping away, he was carrying someone in his arms. Hunter instantly knew that f*cker was escaping with Silvia. The intense urge to catch her was strong but he couldn't do that at the sacrifice of his men. "YOU MOTHERF*CKERS! GREET YOUR FATHER," Hunter snarled, charging at them. Both of his claws extended out as he slashed one of
Silvia woke up with a startle, her whole body jerked badly. The girl blinked a couple of times to clear her blurry vision. Her eyes widened realizing that her wrists were restrained and there was a tape on her mouth. Big panicked eyes looked around the place only to find herself in an unknown room. There was a bed in front of her, a wardrobe in the corner, a couch behind her, and two doors. One must be her way out of here. The first thought that crossed her mind was that she got abducted. She just prayed that some of the men with her survived and convey the message to Alonso that she was kidnapped because he would think she escaped. She can't have him thinking negatively. He'll kill her. Fear began to coil in her heart as worst-case scenarios began piling in. It could be possible that the Alpha King got her abducted. But Alonso made sure Alpha King won't find out that she was a seer. She was taken to deliver the message to Alpha King from Alonso. Silvia would've used her magic of
"So where shall we start? How about when you escaped while I was gone?" He asked calmly. "I didn't escape." She said quickly. He didn't say anything so she continued. "I was there in the forest looking for herbs when a few men came out of nowhere. They injected something in me and when I woke up I was at Alonso's hideout," She said. "You want me to believe this happened the day when I wasn't there? A super duper coincidence?" He asked pointedly. "They kidnapped me," She whispered. "Fine, I'll let it slide fast forward. Why," He abruptly grabbed her jaw in a tough grip jerking her face up so their eyes could meet as he continued, "The f*ck you abducted my sister?" He sneered in menace squeezing her jaw painfully as her eyes snapped shut trying to free herself from his cruel hold. "Alownso fworced mwe to," She muffled because her cheeks were squished so she could barely form coherent words. "And you want me to believe that?" He hissed. Jerking her face away he grabbed her l
Hunter showered before he made his appearance in the dining hall where his family was gathered. "What a pleasant surprise," He mused, walking over to Aurora, who was also there with her toddler. Hunter leaned down to stare at Nathan who blinked at him with big wide eyes. He poked his cheek making Nathan smile. Sarah, who was in Catherine's arms clapped her hands making babyish noises garnering Hunter's attention. "Don't worry, sweetheart. I didn't forget you," He mused walking over to her as he kissed Sarah's forehead and the toddler beamed. Everyone was at the table. His dad was on the head chair with mom to his right then there were Rasmus and Catherine. To the left were Aurora, Hunter, and Angela. "Where's Draken?" Hunter asked, taking his seat. "He dropped me here and had some work. He'll be back to pick me up in three days," Aurora said as Hunter nodded. "What work does he have in this area?" He questioned while filling his plate. Emma was the happiest beaming at the two k
Fury was a vicious curse. It could wake the sleeping demons inside you. Making you burn in fire and just like that you feel like scorching everything to ashes itself. A treacherous voice that leads you to demise. Sheer silence surrounded them as her heavy breathing was the only noise. He barely even blinked before the string of sanity snapped; what just happened registered inside his mind. Her eyes widened when a calloused hand wrapped around her delicate throat and her back was slammed into the wall knocking the breath out of her. Hunter huddled into her personal space, hovering over her like an insane beast as his nostrils flared in rage. He failed all of her attempts to get away. She clawed at his hand but he only squeezed tighter as tears gathered in her eyes that were bulging out and her face turned red. She couldn't breathe. Frantically she tried to kick him but he didn't even budge. Her lungs constricted in need of oxygen as she flailed. His ominous jade eyes locked with
The minutes ticked by in a hazy blur as she sat there in the same spot where he left her. Destiny plays cruelly with some people while it serves happiness on the silver platter to others. Silvia was never happy. All her life the only thing she got accustomed to best was pain and heartache to such an extreme extent that she got control over her mind. When her mind would feel a threat of incoming pain. It would shut off. And as time passed she started to believe soon she'd turn into a robot with no emotions. But God didn't want to grant her that either. The times back under the captivity of Alonso were agonizing. She couldn't breathe with her own free will. Even if she raised her eye to look at someone she would be punished. Ironic and sadistic but she knows enough of the monsters to believe kindness doesn't exist in this world until she met Reid and Clarke. They were so much in love. They were the first ones who cared for her, though it was to a small extent but they cared. She dre
