HARIA'S POV

"Y-You want to reject me as your mate, Alpha Ryan?" I immediately asked him while being a little shocked after I heard him say that he was rejecting me.

"This will not work, Haria. Can't you see that I'm just toying with you?" he answered without even a slight hesitation. "Besides, it's been so toxic since the start. You're always being jealous for no reason. Your insecurities are swallowing you up."

"Are you telling me that I'm the one who's wrong here? How dare you do this to me, Ryan! Don't make me into a fool!" I continued in a hard and angry voice. This guy was rejecting me as his mate and he's pointing out that I'm the one who's wrong.

"I'm already rejecting you, Haria! There's no reason for us to waste time here."

This guy really has the courage to speak to me like this. He was indeed an Alpha and next in line to the throne of their pack, but I'm also the daughter of the ruler of the Blue Blood Pack. So he should respect me somehow.

"Okay, fine! Reject me if that's what you want! Do you think I will chase you? No way, Ryan!" I shouted back at him. I was so annoyed that I felt as if my chest was about to explode. Although this rejection is not good for me because it is a big shame for me and the whole pack, somehow, I have to save my ego and show him that I am not affected and I will never chase him.

"If that's the case, there's no need for us to talk anymore. I won't bother you from now on, so I hope you do the same," Ryan said seriously and then he turned around and started walking away from me.

I became speechless and just swallowed some of my salivae after hearing Ryan's last words as he turned his back on me.

"W-Wait, A-Alpha Ryan."

I wanted to stop him from leaving as I realized that it seemed wrong to just agree to his decision and maybe there is still a way for us to fix this but he was already far away from where I was standing. I know I'm the loser here. It could have been a huge embarrassment when the news spread that Alpha Ryan, who was supposed to be my mate, rejected me.

I am a respected alpha's daughter of our pack, but still, Alpha Ryan rejected me. That was a shame, not only for me but also for my family.

But I couldn't do anything else now but look at Alpha Ryan in the distance as he continued walking away, without even looking back at me. I didn't even notice that tears were slowly flowing down my cheeks from my eyes.

I didn't go home that day to avoid whatever my dad and brother would tell me about this fucking rejection. I just told them that Alpha Ryan already rejected me. For sure, my dad will scold me for not doing anything and just accepting Alpha Ryan's rejection because that means that whatever connects the Blue Blood Pack and the Night Stalkers Pack will be cut off now. Alpha Ryan's pack will stop supporting us, especially military support. And Dad will definitely blame me for that.

I went straight to a videoke bar and decided to drown myself with beer while singing break-up songs. I don't want to go to expensive bars because my friends are sure to be there. I don't want them to see me in this pathetic situation.

I almost didn't want to let go of the microphone as much as possible, I wanted to sing all the break-up songs I knew. Even though I was already a bit drunk and couldn't pronounce some of the lyrics very well. My voice is a bit hoarse but I still don't want to stop. If it wasn't for a guy who came to me and wanted to grab the microphone from me because he said he also wants to sing, I wouldn't have stopped.

"Are you an Alpha?" I asked the guy who approached me after I confronted him. And when our eyes met, I confirmed that he was indeed an Alpha. "Fucking Alpha! Male Alphas are the same!" I shouted to him. "You're all cheaters and heartless. Why is it so easy for you to reject someone because you simply don't like her anymore, huh?"

"Ahem! I don't think all of the male alphas were like that," the guy immediately replied.

"That's bullshit! You will do that too eventually, whoever you are," I immediately countered. "You're no different from that bullshit Alpha Ryan." I even dropped the glass of beer hard on the table after I drank some of its contents. I feel so angry for Ryan that I really want to break his face right now. But I forgot that he wasn't here and it was another guy in front of me now.

The guy didn't seem to like my behavior and suddenly his facial expression changed but I just ignored it. I don't care and I'm not afraid of him. Then a woman approached me and whispered something to me.

"Don't you know him? There's a rumor that he came from a pack consisting of ruthless members," she whispered to me which immediately made me raise my eyebrows and I quickly removed his hand that landed on my shoulder. I don't care who he is, where he came from, or what kind of ruthless alpha he is.

"Don't touch me, okay!" I shouted at the woman and pushed her a little. Then, I faced the guy again who wanted to grab the microphone from me.

"Are you sure you can be responsible with your words? You keep on talking nonsense things, not even realizing that you are facing a respected alpha," I heard the man say. Now he was more serious and looked annoyed with me. So what?

"And why should I respect you when I didn't even know you!" I answered aloud, at the same time, I tossed the microphone to him. Then, I turned my back on him. I was about to start walking away from him when he grabbed my arm and even pulled me back to him.

"Where are you going?" he said in a firm voice as he tightened his grip on my arm when I tried to get away from him. "I'm not finished talking so don't turn your back on me. Don't be rude!"

I didn't answer and pushed him hard instead so I could get away from him. He fell, and because of the tension that was rising inside, the other customers immediately ran outside, especially when they noticed the change in the man's aura.

He got really angry and quickly stood up and looked at me with his glaring eyes. He was already in a fighting stance so I was slightly nervous.

I prepared myself for the possibility that he would attack me. Then, he started moving his feet and rushed towards me.

"You will regret this day that you did not respect me and you even lay your hands on me," he shouted as he was about to unleash a powerful attack. But before his hands could touch me, he suddenly fell hard to the floor. He even rolled due to the force of the attack he received.

Someone attacked him before his punch could land in my face. I immediately turned to see who helped me that I didn't notice was now beside me. I could tell he was a beta and based on what he was wearing, he looked like a soldier.

He winked at me, saying 'hi' while smiling when our eyes met, which made me a little annoyed. I frowned and immediately looked away from him.

Then, I felt him hold my arm. It's as if he doesn't want to lose me by his side, unlike that other man who held me forcefully earlier and seemed to be furious.

I tried to get away from him but failed as he started pulling me out of the videoke bar.

"We need to get out of here! That Alpha is ruthless and crazy. And he has a lot of minions who are with him," the beta guy said seriously as he pulled me out even though I objected and wanted to walk on my own.

Why are they so afraid of that ruthless alpha? I can face him in a fight and I am not afraid of him.

"Let's say that being an alpha is in your blood and you can handle them, but it's better that we just stay away so that none of us get hurt, right?" I heard him say in a still serious voice. It was impressive how he was even able to predict what was on my mind at this moment.

I didn't say anything and just followed him without complaining. I just let him hold my precious hand as we continued running after we got out of the videoke bar. The ruthless alpha is following us and he has five other men with him. Their faces couldn't be painted anymore because of the anger they felt as if they had been robbed of a lollipop.

Then, we suddenly turned to another street and when this beta saw a fast food restaurant, he quickly pulled me towards it and entered the comfort room next to it. Luckily, no one saw us because if someone did, for sure they would think I was too cheap to go with a man inside the comfort room.

"Why did you bring me..." Even before I finished speaking, he suddenly covered my mouth with one of his hands.

"Ssshhh! They won't think we're coming in here. So don't make any noise and let's spend some time here first," he whispered.

I didn't speak anymore and just observed the surroundings like what he was doing.

He is too close to me. Just a little more and our bodies will stick together. The comfort room was too small so I couldn't avoid being uncomfortable, although I'm aware that he's just thinking of our safety.

He was looking at the door so I couldn't avoid looking at him. He's too handsome for a beta and I would rate his muscularity high because of the big muscles in his arms. His face is smooth and the army cut suits him which shows how good-looking he is even more.

I also couldn't avoid exploring my eyes as I looked down at his muscular chest that almost wanted to spit on his very fit military t-shirt. I also looked at his pants as I got curious about what he got there and I couldn't stop my eyes until I saw something huge inside his pants.

I came back to my senses and I was slightly surprised when I heard the shouting of people inside the fast-food restaurant. The ruthless alpha and his minions must be out there already looking for us.

Then, we heard an angry man's voice, who was definitely referring to us, telling us to come out of hiding or he will turn the fast food restaurant upside down.

The beta guy who I was with inside the comfort room looked at me and signaled me not to make any noise. Our eyes met and stared at each other for a few seconds. Then, we heard the throwing of tables and chairs inside the fast-food restaurant. The breaking of plates and glasses. And the ruthless alpha shouted, "If you don't come out in five minutes, I will burn down this fast food restaurant."

I felt the movement of the beta guy I was with inside the comfort room and slowly removed his hand from covering my mouth. He was bothered by what that ruthless alpha said and maybe, he was thinking of going out to save this fast food restaurant and other people who were trapped inside.

He was about to reach the doorknob when I pulled him back to me and our bodies accidentally touched each other. Our eyes met again and this time, I felt something weird inside me as if it was telling me to do something. Until I slowly brought my lips closer to his lips and tasted how sweet they were.

I know he was surprised by what I did but I felt his immediate response to my kiss as if he was very eager and had never experienced anything like this in his entire life.
