In a cautious manner, we tip-toe through the silent pack house, finding our way into my bedroom and closing the door, making sure the knob produces minimal noise. Thank goodness all the rooms within the pack house are sound proof. I can understand now why my father wanted me to leave my door open when Vaegon was here. We still wound up doing things we shouldn’t have done anyway, though. So it’s whatever I guess.

It’s a good thing Cassius was on his way to my room when I shifted. Otherwise no one would have heard me and I couldn’t have been able to link with anyone yet. My first shift into my wolf Xariah would have been an utter disaster if it weren’t for Cassius. I shouldn’t have Cassius here with me now. But I promised my dad I wouldn’t have sex with Vaegon. No one said anything about Cassius. So in a way, I’m keeping my promise.
