CHAPTER 133:

It was early morning. Today the sun wasn’t planning to come out due to heavy clouds. He never liked clouds or rains. It always used to make him sad.

It always used to remind him about Maria. His first love. The irony was, her father knew. He always knew about their love. But still, he chose to sacrifice it so that he could kill his wife.

How a parent could be this mean and selfish. Hate was so powerful that it won. Taking away so many lives with it. His own life, Maria’s, Alda’s, his daughter’s, and King James’s.

Lucas was the one who suffered the most without him knowing about it.

Alda had returned last night. King’s men dropped her but ever since she was home she was unusually quiet.

Gavin tried to talk to her to coax her into eating something. But she was not responding. Gavin’s heart was going out for her.

Throughout the night she stayed awake not batting her eyes for a single minute.
