April, Bluey, and Pistol were in the middle of a much-needed catch-up, enjoying their lunch like old times. Aiden had set a lovely table for them before heading back to the office, leaving the house to the three friends. The room echoed with laughter, loud chatter, and the occasional scream of excitement as they reminisced about their wild days. It was as if time had reversed, bringing them back to the carefree chaos of their younger years.

Bluey was mid-sentence, telling a particularly hilarious story about a misadventure at a concert years ago, when the doorbell rang.

April chuckled, shaking her head. “Aiden probably forgot something,” she said, pushing back her chair. “I’ll get it.”

Feeling a renewed sense of energy from the joy her friends brought, April walked to the door, no longer weighed down by exhaustion or stress. But as soon as she opened the door, her mouth dropped in shock.
