Lucifer was driving home, the night still echoing with the violence of the warehouse fight. His phone rang, the caller ID showing Damon. With a grimace, he answered.

"Damon," Lucifer said, his voice like a controlled growl.

"Lucifer," Damon replied, his tone dripping with contempt. "Enjoying your evening?"

"What do you want?" Lucifer's grip tightened on the steering wheel.

"I just wanted to remind you of our little conversation earlier. Have you thought about what might happen if the world finds out about your... past indiscretions?"

Lucifer's eyes narrowed. "It was an accident, Damon. And you know it."

"An accident?" Damon laughed bitterly. "That accident drove my mother insane! She curses me every day, thinking I'm the monster. All because of you."

Lucifer took a deep breath, trying to keep his temper in check. "I've already told you, I'm not stepping down as president. Whatever you think you can do, I'm ready."
