Chapter 2: Becoming His Wife

Rhianna's eyes were still wide open as looked at the king and the queen.

"King Rufus, am sorry I can't, am still having a big misunderstanding with Greg, yes I told him I loved him then in highschool, but now he thinks am the one behind all these, he thinks I was the one who confused my dad to say these" Rhianna tried to explain

"I Know Rhianna, you have been his friend since, I know I have not a father to Gregory and Heaven, now both my children hates me, but now am sorry, but he doesn't want to understand" The king explained to her with a sad expression written on his face

"I don't know, but I will have to talk to Greg, Now he Knows we will be getting married soon, and after  making him forgive you, I will leave" Rhianna said

"No Rhianna, am an old man now and I will die soon, Greg is the crowned prince and wouldn't be crowned king unless he has a mate, I want you to pretend to be his mate until he is crowned" The king suggested again

"That's another task, king Rufus, I don't want to break the little bond I have with Greg, he is still my best friend" Rhianna said

"Please Rhianna, for my sake, Greg doesn't even regard me has his Mom, I just want him to be fine" The queen said for the first time

"Okay, I will just because of Greg bright future, I will go talk to him and little, and after that I will go home" She said and stood up, heading straight to Gregory's room

She opened the door and saw him scattering everything in his room, his hands was bleeding and she went straight up to him

"Rihanna what are you doing here, you broke our relationship the say you tried to force yourself to be, are your park to greedy for power?" he suddenly asked

"What! How could you say this Greg, I know I had loved you, but I stopped after you said you only want mistresses, why would you accuse me of this?" She asked, feeling sad in the inside but stood strong outside

"Are you asking me, you should just leave Rhianna, He said moving away from her a little bit

"I am here." then she took a deep breath to calm herself down

"I am here to tell you, I will be coming in as your wife soon, I was forced to do this" she said looking away from him

" Rihanna I think you've had too much to drink, now why don't you get out of here before something stupid goes down here, I wouldn't want you dead yet" he said, trying to add fear into her, but she only chuckled

"Careful not to get in touch with me" he whispered in her ears, before he walked to the door and walked out.

Rhianna stood in place for some minutes, she was in deep thought, she didn't Know if she was doing the right thing or the wrong thing, her mind wasn't at peace right now, she needed to go back home and try appealing to her father to send her little sister.

Rhianna walked back to the place where the banquet was held, she couldn't find Gregory again, so she decided to leave. She opened the door, but a hand closed it back, she looked at the person and behold it was "Becka"

"Do I know you from somewhere?" She asked Becka, trying to make her annoy

"I don't care if you know me or not, all I want to say is even though you get married to Gregory, you won't get a space in his heart" She said, making Rhianna chuckle

"Like you have a place in his heart, you are just his mistress alone, but am going to be his wife, that is two different things, so get it" Rhianna fired back, but in a cool nice tone

"I am everything to Greg, I loved him first" Becka who was already angry said

"Am not fighting him with you, I will just do what is expected of his wife" She said and walked out. Becka felt defeated, she only developed more hatred for Rhianna, Meanwhile Gregory had been watching them from afar

Rhianna got to her Park, she went her father's throne hall

"My Lady" one of her men bowed down greeting

"Announce my arrival" she said

"The first daughter of King Zereous, Lady Rhianna arrives!!!" He announced and opened the door, making it possible for her to enter. Her father was already There with her little sister, he gave more attention to her sister than her.

"Father, I don't time I can do this anymore, Greg is my best friend and now he has developed a big hatred for me" Rhianna said, without greeting her father first or sitting down

"What do you mean?" The king asked

"Why would you exchange me for powers? Can't you become great one day, then sell your daughter?" She asked almost yelling

"Watch your mouth Rhianna, you wouldn't want to get me angry" He warned her

"I know you never liked me, I know you always blame me for everything, but you can just tell me what I did, so I can apologize, I never knew you could hate me to this extent" Rhianna said, at the verge of crying

"I don't have anything to say to you, just leave" The king commanded

"Why don't you send Tiana to do this, she could bring favour to you than me* Rhianna suggested

"She is you little sister Rhianna, and you don't tell me what to do" He said trying not to get angry

"Father please…."

"You are born for this Rhianna!!, go inside your room and pack your things, you are leaving for your new home tomorrow" king Zereous said and left immediately. Rhianna slowly sat down and bent her head, while wallowing in her thoughts.
