Rose’s POV

I turned back to meet Rael's gaze. Only to stop in my tracks the moment I did.

Under the lights, his gaze seemed…molten. It was the most beautiful thing.

“Just to clear your mind.” He said, stepping forward. Goosebumps arose the moment his skin brushed against mine, forcing my breath to hitch.

Instantly I swallowed through it, hoping that he didn't notice a thing.

‘Calm the hell down Rose.’ I spoke to myself.

Whatever reactions I was battling with at the moment could be addressed later. Now at this moment I needed to focus.

I chuckled lightly, turning back to focus on the flowers “That's not really a good answer you know. My mind is clear enough.” I replied.

“Isn't it?” his voice rumbled beside me.

“This is the first time you’ve come down since, to meet me no less. It's a good sign."

I opened my mouth to talk about going with Adian previously to the library, only to stop in my tracks.

If I did tell him, would he be slightly envious again? In the end I sighed.
