Daniella pov

The moment the strange woman came in, I felt a connection drawn towards her. When she bowed her neck, I went close to her to ask who was chasing them. I saw the man on her neck, which made me move back.

It was the mark of the half-moon given to us by our parents. I remember the day she was given us the mark, the scream, and the pain that came with it then my mother told me to look after my sister.

I asked our mother if she was going anywhere or if she was dying, she ruffled my head, smiled at me, and said that the world is full of evil and that my sister and I would be seperated because of my rear gift.

Then I did not practice my gift, I was lost about the gift my mother was talking about until the day I came back from the market and saw my mother in the pool of her blood whereas my sister was no place to be found.
