I ended up being good friends with the nurse. She treated me nicely and the purple veins she treated weren't really gone.

“I will leave you to rest now," she said after packing her equipment.

There was something about her that made me feel at ease with her. She was kind, gentle and always smiling. She wasn't so beautiful but it didn't matter because of her good nature, for that was enough to make her beautiful.
