Allison felt her heart drop to her stomach. She had actually managed to forget about everything going on back home for a moment.

Allison's face must have shown something was wrong because her dad sat his coffee down and asked Allison if she was okay as he wrapped her in a warm hug.

She looked up nodded and smiled at her dad. "I'm just going to sit outside and get some fresh air for a few minutes." Allison said. Her dad released her from his hug and she quickly grabbed her coffee and headed for the door.

Allison looked at her phone tears threatening to spill from her eyes at any moment. she scrolled to the top of the messages and began reading them.

"I just don't understand what I did. I loved you so much and protected you when you needed it. what was he doing for you when your mother abandoned you?"

"I really just can't understand why you left me for him Allison. Is he better than me? Did he love you better than me? Why Allison?"
