Chapter 1 - The Future Emperor

After 15 years the lycan empire which were formerly known as the lost palace were busy preparing for the arrival of the future emperor, Gordon. Other than being the future heir of the throne he was the son of his proud father, the Emperor Maxwell Edward Spencer.Despite being 65 years of age, he is ageing gracefully. He is a tall man of 6 ft and in great physical shape with toned muscle. Deep nut brown eyes, white wavy hair and ducktail beard. His aura screams power.

Emperor Maxwell was on the verge of death when enemies had attempted to kill him and to extinct the Lycan species, his then kingdom was crumbling down and his subjects was losing faith in him, under certain circumstances his son of 15 years old, Gordon had to step in as the true ruler and had brought victory to his kingdom.

The war had carried on for 10 years and it was not easy, and it taken a heavy toll on Gordon. He has lost his innocence of as teenage boy forever. Now Gordon is only known for his cruelty all around the world. However his sacrifice has not gone in vain as no one dares to threaten their now Empire anymore. Lycan are now being considered as god and the most dangerous species alive in the world, all because of the ruthless and emotionless Gordon.

When Gordon had return from the war, Maxwell wanted to hand over the throne to Gordon but he argued that he needs to set orders and disciplines in many other Kingdoms and amongst other species and to give him five more years to be able to take the throne. Maxwell had reluctantly agreed to it because he missed his son and he has not seen him since that day. But one week ago he has informed them he is coming back and nothing can make Maxwell happier than that.

The empire is being redecorated and meticulous attention is being given to organize for the coronation of Gordon on the second day of his arrival. Gordon has specifically requested to organize a guest room for a female friend and they are wondering who that person is to him but no one dared to enquire further in the matter.

At around eleven am arrived to his homeland, the furture emperor along with his Beta Scott and his friend Annabelle were greeted by guards bowing at them. Since they were formally instructed to not stop them at the check post. Entering the empire land Gordon and Scott could not helped but notice how the streets was flamboyantly decorated, buildings freshly painted. Everything seem well maintained and everyone seem happy in the kingdom.

When they got near to the palace, peoples were gathered at the side of the roads to wave at him or to be able to see him. Gordon feels frustrated at the sight of it, he find it a waste of time for these people who could have done something productive instead of waiting for him under the burning sun, he had firmly denied his father to not do any kind of celebration on his arrival. Since there will be a big event for the coronation day. Gordon is a "no drama" person, although he is very assertive, he does not like to mingle with people to much, most of the time he remain silent, he listen more but he notice all. He knows his people love him but still he feels any urge to show emotion, as showing emotion is a waste of time and it only for weak people. He prefer to be rational and logical.

When the dark ash colored Audi Q7 stopped at the palace entrance. The valet rushed toward the car to open the door. When Gordon stepped out, the whole empire felt the power and authority exhuming from him, even Maxwell felt like kneeling in front of his only son. But his son gaze warns his father not to do so, while everyone knelt and bow in front of him. No one dare to raise their head until Gordon commanded them to rise.

Gordon is 6ft 3 tall, beastly built man. He has deep nut brown almond shaped eyes void of any kind of emotion, wavy black hair with highlighted silver strand and tapered hairlines brushed up. His has a square face with clean shaved sharp jawline, straight nose with a slight hump and perfect full lips which is always pressed together to form a thin, tight line. His beastly muscular curves visible through his light blue dress shirt and dark blue pant. His fair skin is lightly tan mostly due to the Sun exposure. All his movement tend to communicate dominance and authority.

“Son, I have missed you, so much.” Stated Maxwell tearfully while hugging Gordon

“I've missed you too father.” Gordon replied coldly but he did hug his father back.

“Father, I would like you to meet Annabelle, she is King Albert’s sister and will be staying with us for some days.” Gordon informed his father without even glancing at Annabelle. Anna was a nice looking girl, 5ft41 tall. Small round dark brown coloured eyes adorn with fake eye lashes, curly golden brown hair, squared face with high cheekbones, thin lips and tan coloured skin.

“Emperor, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Annabelle bow in front of Maxwell.

“The pleasure is all mine, please come inside.” Maxwell warmly welcomed Annabelle with a knowing look.

Addressing to Grodon and Scott also, Maxwell request them to come inside for lunch. They were all heading inside when they notice Gordon has stopped abruptly and was looking towards the garden. He was listening to the sound of someone laughing. He could not help himself but to steps toward the owner of the voice. He stands in a distance and watched a girl, an angelic girl dressed in white sundress and playing amongst kids on the yard of the palace. She was the most adorable person he has ever seen. She was a little curvy girl and very beautiful. Auburn soulder length hair, fair skin, upwards light brown eyes, a heart shaped face. straight nose and perfectly proportioned rosy lips.

She was in an argument with one of the kids, who was telling her to keep her mouth shut or else the future emperor will burn her alive just like he does for the enemy but she refuted saying “I don’t know about your future emperor but I am myself full of fire let see who burn whom” and then she started to laugh out loud. Her laugh was music to his ears.

Annabelle has never witnessed someone talking against Gordon and she cannot believe her ears. “Will someone ask her to be quiet? She’s..” but then she was cut by Gordon “No, let her speak, I like it.” He does not understand her attraction towards her but he feel the urge to protect her from anyone.

As he said that he find the girl looking at him, he was mesmerized by her innocent eyes. How can someone be so cute? But then he got conscious of her gaze and he diverts his eyes to the floor. If Scott did not know Gordon he would think that Gordon is blushing and is intimidated by that girl.

When the Maxwell find the kids was bowing in front of Gordon but the girl was looking straight at him. He immediately start to plead to his son to not harm her. The statement of his father made Gordon realized he was intimidated by her. He immediately change his posture and becomes once again the ruthless alpha.

“Sharon come here.” Maxwell snaps at her. She quickly run next to him.

“Bow in front of the future Emperor, now.” He glares at her.

Sharon bow in front of Gordon “Future emperor” she breathe out. Gordon could not help but was amuse by her gesture and his lips curved up to form a smile. Everyone is surprised at Gordon's behaviour because no one has ever seen him smile for the past 15 years.

“Sharon we will talk about this misconduct later…for now, please everyone lets head for lunch.” Maxwell states.

Gordon nod to his father and was walking toward the palace when he noticed Sharon is not following them. He stop and gently he asks her “You would not join us?”

With a wide smile she refuses, since she already ate before they came.

“Sharon, when the future Emperor asked you to join him, you just do it no further question must be asked.” Saying that, Maxwell drags Sharon inside by pulling her by her wrist.

Leaving smiling Gordon thinking that she is one of a kind but not liking his father behaviour toward her?
