I RETURNED the dagger to its case and placed it inside the bag that’s around my waist.
"What are you waiting for? Lead the way so we could get to your place," I told him calmly.
He gave a strained smile and started walking but he was facing me as he does so, watching me intently as if he’s thinking that I’m gonna hurt him. He almost fell because he wasn’t looking at the way. I was about to help him but he flinched and moved away, obviously terrified.
"I’m not gonna hurt you. Don’t worry," I said.
"Really?" he asked as he looked at my hand. "Why are you still holding your sword then?"
I looked at my hand and then quickly let go off my sword that was
I heaved a sigh as I looked at the lush trees that were on the side of the road. Every time the wind blows, dry leaves fall from there."My name’s Aliara," I said in between the silence. I flicked the leaf that flew towards me before I looked at him and smiled. He was surprised and amused at my smile. "You look prettier when you smile like that,” he said, flashing a smile. “Gudan’s my name by the way. I’m please to meet you, Aliara. Just don’t scare me anymore. I’ll be mad by then,” he said as he moved away.I giggled. "As you wish, Your Majesty," I said sarcastically. He widened his eyes again. "You know how to joke, huh. But it’s not funny though," he said before walking past me.I giggled before following him shortly.A few moments later we arrived in front of a house made of stone. I looked around as he lit the torch that was next to the door. I nodded, the size of the house is just right."Come and get in, Aliara," he said, smiling as he opened the door for me.I nodded and follow
I LOOKED at Mikhel as he ran to escape. I give Sevasti a glare before running after my victim. But I was taken aback when Sevasti stopped me, he held my arm like how he always used to whenever I try to use my speed. Oh, yeah. Now I remember. He can hear my movements in the air.I brushed his hand off that was holding me. "What do you think you are doing, Prince?" I said with gritted teeth. “Why are you trying to stop me from what I want to do?” I pushed him away. “You do not have the prerogative to stop me!”I walked past him and roamed my eyes around to find Mikhel, but he blocked my way again. What does this fool want from me anyway? He really does want to play arrogant about having greater strength than mine.
"I’m awed with your strength. This bag is heavy yet you were able to carry it as if was nothing," he said, amused. He embraced the bag of rice as he followed me."That’s why I won’t need much of an effort to hurt you, one flick to me is as painful as a punch,” I said and smirked. I flicked in the air to show him, until my hand came close to his face to remove the rice that had stuck there. He followed my finger with his gaze and seemed startled. He slightly moved away from me. "Why did you buy rice anyway?" he asked, obviously changing the topic.I looked around the stalls that sell food."I bought it for you. You stole so much from me but it seems like you’ve got nothing to eat.”
I WAS walking away in such a hurry that I bumped into a gentleman causing all his coins to fall on the ground. His pouch was open which caused the bronze and silver coins to fall."I apologize," I said. I preceded him in picking the coins up and he also helped me so we got the coins back to its pouch quickly. When we stood up I smiled as I handed him back his money, he looked a little taken aback when his eyes met mine."Aliara," Sevasti who was next to me called my name. But I ignored him.I was the one who put the coins back in the pouch which caused our hands to touch. I pursed my lips as I forced myself not to laugh. He sure was enamoured by me and there is no question regarding that.
I looked at Gudan and glared at him. He scratched the back of his head. "Uh, sure," he said as he reluctantly walked back inside the house.I glared at him as he got inside the house, ignoring the man who’s in front of me.A long silence prevailed over us before he finally spoke."Aliara, I am sorry for what I’ve done to you before. I only deceived you about my identity because I knew you would not want me if you ever find out that I am my father’s son. I know that if you ever knew about it, you will just be mad at me." He heaved a deep sigh. "It is true that when I saw you, I knew then that you are the one I wanted to marry when I was a kid. I could not forget you since then. You were always in my mind and even in my dream. I wanted to see you again after that happen
I WOKE up early today with an agenda to find Mikhel sooner. Looks like the two of them were still asleep so I make no sound when I leap through the room while preparing. Matias and Gudan were on the other side, sharing a room.I braided my hair while I walked outside Gudan's house. Vivi immediately flew towards me. I almost greeted him when he flew past me and went to the person behind me while holding my hair that was still suspended in the air on my back. I looked back only to see Sevasti standing there, his face as bright as the morning sun."A pleasant morning to you, Vivi," Sevasti greeted my pet with a cheerful voice with it settling on his arm."Good morning! Good morning!" Vivi answered that made me roll my eyes at them."Are
I tried to move away from him but he just tightened his grip on my waist just so I stayed in my place."At first, I did that to calm your anger from me but whenever I thought of going near you, the courage that I gathered for a long while disappears thinking that you might never accept me again." He held both of my shoulders and made me face him. "I have tried so many times to approach you, Aliara. The time you move to the ruins of your palace, I wanted to take that chance but I never did. I saw the loneliness and agony from your eyes and I know I am the reason why so I stopped." I shook my head out of sadness. "I cannot put up with it so I promised myself not to get near you again if I can only give you pain in return.""Sevasti…" I said in a low voice, almost a whisper as I stared at him.
WE STOPPED at the narrow path in between two stalls, stepped in it and got welcomed by a woman who was leaning on the wall of the store. She was holding a match stick and stuck it in between her teeth, having no care to whoever sees her at that position."Estra!" Gudan called, causing the woman to look in our way and fix her posture. She also trashed the stick away from her and smiled as she walked towards us."Gudan! Good to see that you have arrived. I was waiting for quite a long time for you," she said as she eyed us one by one. I stared at her, inspecting. She was beautiful but she was all soiled up from head to toe. It was never appropriate for a lady to be like that. Even her attitude is that of a man, very unlady-like. Her hair was tied up using a single strand of a cloth."My
