"WHO WAS that?" Matias said when he reached me. "What happened?"
"Another visitor tonight," I said as my jaw tightened.
"A visitor?"
I averted my glare at him. "From now on, there will be someone who will guard every night in this place. Make sure that this incident will never happen again in the future. I do not want any visit at this godly hour of the day," I said and turned my back at him.
If only he woke and went to me earlier, we would have captured that man. He will always come whenever he is not needed.
"Is it not the only one you fought? Who sent them?" he asked while tailing me.
I quickly turned to him and glared, again. "Tell me, who did they come here for, Matias? This never happened in the past because they are all afraid to be here. Who are they after they have been brazen to send men here?" I sarcastically said.
He stopped for a moment and realized the answer for his question. "The two kids."
"Adrina," I sai
When I shifted my attention to Castor, he was now standing near the table and holding the candle flame remover. Using his power, he transformed it into a sword. I smiled at my new discovery. So he can change the shape of anything he holds? Interesting."I did not fancy the gift that you have rewarded me that is why I ended up here personally to tell you," I said."What are you saying?! How can I do that when I do not even know your identity?" he said, wondering as he charged an attack on me.I quickly dodged it and said, "You are so slow, Castor " mocking him. That caused him to get angry and charged again, blindly. All I do is dodge all of his attacks until he gets tired. I can feel Evina trying to use her powers again so I spinned quickly. I intentionally got my sword to hit the only candle lit on the room before it slashed her in the arms.Based on their reaction, there are seemingly other persons involved in giving us visitors in the midd
I HALTED scooping water on the creek and looked into the part of the woodswhere trees are all full when I sensed someone looking at me. I put the jar down and went there. My brows furrowed when I found a familiar horse. It took me another step to find who the owner is. I did not expect to see anyone here at this time of the day. He had his grip unto the lead of the horse, seemingly to place it there at the tree. His lop-sided grin greeted me with utmost enthusiasm while he bathed in the shock expression on my face. I eyed him from head to toe to make sure I was seeing it correctly and that was really him, in front of me. I cannot escape feeling attracted to his looks and charm, his posture and everything, as if feeling bewitched. When I regained my senses, I approached him and hit him in the chest."What are you doing here?" I asked, nervously eyeing the surroundings for any presence. I was relieved when I got none so I returned my eye to him.
I put the jar next to the other jars nearby and then went to the armory, inspecting it. She followed me and got a sword from there, not minding how heavy the blade she chose. "You are the one who is most skilled when it comes to battling using a blade, teach me," she said, commanding. She tried to swing the blade upward but it did not reach that high. She only knew how to arch a bow because that is the only weapon Hamil taught her to use before he left for a mission. I know that she is too young to even hold a sword and that is not appropriate as her height and weight is still not improving as of now. She is not even on a level with the other children here at her age. I got the hilt from her grip and brought it back to where she got it. I gently held both of his hands and stared at
I STOPPED in front of the palace when I saw him going out from the high gates. His eyes immediately met mine so I smiled at him sweetly. He flinched a little when he realized that he was seeing me. Perhaps that I have done a better job at making myself more pretty than my usual.I spinned a couple of times for him to see my whole being. I do not have a cloak that covers me and I fixed my hair. I even have a flower ornament on my ear.He speedily went to me and held both of my cheeks, landing a quick peck on my lips. My face seems to have been heated because of what he did in front of the other creatures that are lurking outside the palace."You are so beautiful. I apologize for not being able to help myself not to kiss you." He inched again his face on mine but I backed away.
I took the two purses of gold coins inside my bag that hanging from my waist. One is the payment for the weapons that he will buy for me and the other one is for him which was from what I picked earlier to an unknown wanderer."This purse is the payment for the weapons that I needed while the other one is for you," I said as I handed him both bags.He opened it and smiled when he saw what was inside."We have no problem here. When do you need the weapons?""The next day. I will have Matias to meet you. He will be the one to take the weapons from you." I eyed the surroundings to make sure no one heard nor even saw us while we talked."Rest assured. I will immediately deliv
I CANNOT erase the smile on my lips even until I got back to our hideout. Looks like my eyes do not have enough of glancing at the ring in my finger given by Sevasti from time to time. It fits me perfectly, like it was made for my finger. What a glorious thing."Matias!" I blurted out of shock when he suddenly appeared in front of me. He followed my gaze to my finger so I slightly hid my hand behind me. The place is dark so I bet he did not see it. The thing that caught my eyes so bad I cannot help but stare at it in awe. "What do you need?" I asked with a timid smile on my face.He stared at me for a while before speaking."The plans about the weapons, why did they change?" he asked, seriously. My sight averted to Vivi who is s
HOLDING Adrina's hand, we walked hand in hand by the path going to the nearby falls. She forced me to go take a bath with her so I just followed her because the training for the day was done too.I furrow my brows when I feel something in the surroundings. Danger. I immediately removed the sheath of my sword. Good thing I have been bringing this with me wherever I go.After some time, enemies lurking in the background reveal themselves and surround us. There are more than ten of them. My eyes sharpened at the sight of him in the middle, Castor."We meet again, Miss," he said, grinning.I tightly gripped Adrina's hand and hid her behind me."It was a pleasure to meet you again, for the second time, Mister," I said, smiling with my eyes still sharp, looking at him. "I did not expect the gifts that you have sent me here." I added as I glanced at every one of them in my line of sight. They are not like the ones I have fought in Adrina's house. Looks li
IT WAS the day we received the weapons from Kahlo. I waited patiently for Matias as he is the one I assigned to get the weapons from him. The negotiation was smooth so I am expecting the weapons to be here by now.I saw his silhouette appearing from afar so I got excited a little bit and stood. As I see him nearing and nearing, I can also see the annoyed look on his face. And he has nothing with him other than himself and an empty carriage that was being pulled by his horse. I furrowed my brows and got to him as he unmount the horse. He gave me two familiar purses and said, "Dardo knows that we are the ones who want to buy the weapons from them," he said with annoyance. "He even threatened Kahlo to bring death to him as he had already beaten the man if he sensed again that we are buying weapons from them using him."
