Nora P.O.V

The red silk gilded on my legs as I walked forward with an air of confidence surrounding me . Light shone from above and with my stride each of their attention drifted towards me . Their wandering expressions made me smirk from inside , some had envy in their eyes and most of them were curious .

Time to charm some pants off.

A seductive smile spread over my lips with the promise of wickedness as I watched the men there fall under my spell even though they had their hand around another female.

What a pig!

If I ever have to describe men and women then I would say men are like moths , gravitated towards fire even though they know it can burn them and women are like roses , beautiful but have thrones . Hurt her, you will not know what has stuck you.

They may be weak from the heart but not from the brain.

My smile dropped as soon as I entered the hall . Time for some actions. I took my mask from the table near the door and wore it like the others in the party. The golden colour mask had a long red feather on its side, it was covering half of my face up to my nose making it easy to hide my face. Lifting the wine glass from the tray as the waiter passed by I took a sip of my drink keeping an eye on my surroundings . I winked with a flirtatious smirk on my face at the group of men when I found them looking at me straight for too long. I can not let them get suspicious of me . Finishing the wine I placed the glass on a tray when a server passed by and moved towards the bar. From here I could see everything.

The party was extravagant, from lights to decoration, everything screamed money , just like the people here. Most of them were businessmen, top industrialists and came from well known families of Chicago. It is a shame , behind these glamorous faces lies criminals ,killers, smugglers and traffickers . In the skin of sheep they are the wolves that would not think twice to kill someone. Most of them have ties with one of Chicago's most wanted criminals, the DiFronzo family . The police and justice are putty in their hand. No one says a word if they kill someone , that is how the system works here.

“I am in” . I said it while dabbing my left cheek with a tissue covering my mouth from the watchful eyes . My microphone was my hair clip that was right behind my left ear, designed in a way that no metal detectors can detect it.

“Good . Our sources have confirmed that the diamonds have been transferred to the safe , five hours ago” informing me the call disconnects .

The security tonight is extremely tight. I looked at the well dressed man standing in the corner at the back, scanning the area for any possible threat . He was not the only one ,there were several of them trying to mend with the crowd, trying not to stand out of the crowd , they are as subtle as anyone can be but I have been in the industry for more than ten years . Years of experience makes it easy to find your enemies amongst the thousands.

I was wearing computer vision eye lens that look like plain contact lenses but are thinner ,the same size as my pupils, and were transparent scanners ,designed to gain details of a person within seconds after scanning the person . I cast my eye at him for scanning.

“Name - David Abate

Age -32

Nationality - America

Member - DiFronzo family

Charges- has murder charges, selling illegal weapons, drugs, and many other illegal activities Work-Professional killer.Works as a security of few of the DiFronzo’s strip clubs and bars ”. The information came immediately in my vision beside the man after the recognition was done that only the person who is wearing the lens can see.

“Hmm”. I ordered a drink .

This tight security is not just for the people , tonight they had transferred the treasure of the DiFronzo family in this hall, twelve rearrest blue diamonds that are rectangular in shape which look like sapphire but their net worth is more than billions maybe in trillions . These gems have been in the DiFronzo family for more than forty years. DiFronzo's were once a group of very skilled thieves from Italy that migrated to America. They stole those diamonds that were supposed to be guarded by the government . The government could not retrieve those diamonds back because the government had no proof against them that whether they had stolen those diamonds or not and after searching they came empty handed.

During that time the DiFronzo family had started to create their own roots on the lands of America; they gained so much power that no one dared to cross their path. But some great people said every power comes with enemies, that's what happened when the DiFronzo family grew in America and many other mob families grew as well .They were forced to be shifted to Chicago and since then it became their territory.

After DiFronzo moved to Chicago , the investigation of finding the stolen treasure continued and eventually the case closed. A few years later a skeleton of a man was found in an old abandoned well on the outskirts of the states . The well was dry and was filled with dirt and dried leaves. During the invitation a few burnt letters were found . The letters were examined and those letters were the exchange between the dead man and the head of the DiFronzo family who had given those diamonds to him to hide. He was one of his trusted men From the exchange and other evidence that were later found it seemed like the man had betrayed the family and tried to run away with the diamonds but was killed before he was able to leave the country by DiFronzo. When police comforted the DiFronzo family, they were forced to close the case because of the influence of the family. The stones remain in the family.

For the last two decades their family heirloom has been out of the country due to some series of incidents that happened twenty years back ,one of which was about stealing the heirloom by the man who had been given the responsibility to make a unique safe , specially designed for those twelve rare diamonds. The man who tried to steal was sentenced to jail for twenty years.

No one knew where it was other than Robert Valentine DiFronzo Sr., head of the DiFronzo family and Italian mob . The diamonds are only getting back because Robert Sr. decided to retire and pass the mafia to his eldest son Robert Alessandro DiFronzo, the would be new crime boss of the DiFronzo family and they are auctioning those diamonds to the highest to the highest bidder tonight.

Making it seem like I was adjusting my earring I tapped the stone of my piercing of my inner ear.

“Call Cyber” . The line started ringing , it rang twice ,on third ring he picked up.

“ Connected”.

At first no one answered. I could only hear the sound of typing .

“Cyber, are you there?”

“Yes . I was working on the location. My computer is showing that the vault is in the centre of the mansion . There are a total of twenty guards outside the room. After every three hours the guards that are stationed outside changes . When the new guard is assigned, there is a security check , the whole process takes three minutes . I can deactivate the scanner inside the room , cut the connection to the central security system and hack the security cameras for three minutes .After three minutes it will again connect to the central system. If you do not get out of the room within three minutes the scanner will sense your presence and the room is going to be filled with poisonous gas within seconds. There will be an alert sent to the enemies”.

“That means I have three minutes to enter the room and take those diamonds”.

“Yes and the next change is after one hour, from that half an hour later that they are going to bring those diamonds out of the volt ” .

“Ok”. The line got disconnected . This is going to be one long night .

Nora P.O.VI was speaking with some women when the lights dimmed , almost too dark. Murmurs started to rise inside the hall when the sound of the door opening stole everyone's attention followed by heavy footsteps. The presence behind me made the hair on my nape stand up . I turned to see the reason behind my body’s reaction. Standing there at the entrance of the hall was a tall figure, light shining behind him like a halo making his brown luscious hair radiant like brown glass. His face was hidden in the veil of darkness inside the room.Just as he took a step into the room the lights brightened back . He was facing the other side. From the side the three piece suit stretched against his muscular body like a second skin ,the dominating aura he was emitting made everyone's attention gravitated towards him . The black mask was covering half of his face, he stood there like a dark prince observing every movement . His presence was enough to make the weaker cower away. I looked around

Robert P.O.V The ice melted slowly in my glass, the clinking sound a faint melody against the bustling cityscape of Chicago below. The city never sleeps , much like me. My thoughts swirled, much like the amber liquid in the glass I held, heavy with the weight of decisions I was going to make, the ones I could not take back even if I wanted to, and the ones I was about to make tonight are going to stay with me forever. "What is on your mind?" I turned my head to see Riccardo, my younger brother, leaning back in the plush leather seat of the limo with legs crossed , his sharp gaze cutting into me like a scalpel. His eyes were narrowing further with each second passed, probably trying to see what was going through my head . These days I don't even know what is going through my head myself. "Nothing," I muttered, setting my glass down on the minibar beside me. "Don't lie to me," Riccardo said with a faint smirk. Before I could answer, Dant's gruff voice interrupted from the seat oppo

Nora P.O.V. The keypad glowed faintly in the dimly lit vault as I carefully typed the password Cyber had whispered into my earpiece. My fingers trembled, not from fear, but from the adrenaline coursing through me. A sharp beep rang out, and I froze for a moment before the soft click of the lock disengaging brought relief. Slowly, I turned the circular grab handle of the vault, its metallic groan echoing ominously in the small chamber. With a final heave, the door creaked open, revealing a brightly illuminated space that momentarily blinded me. There they were the twelve blue stones, gleaming in their flawless perfection, sitting neatly on a velvet tray in the center of the room. Their brilliance seemed almost surreal, a treasure coveted by countless others but entrusted to my care for retrieval. Yet, something else caught my eye. In the middle of the vault stood another safe sleek, made of fine transparent glass, with a digital keypad embedded in the surface. You can not realise it

He turned to face me then again turned back to look at the city that was lightened up in the dark and took a sip from the bottle. I walked closer and sat down beside him, dangling my legs just like him, from the edge of the building. “Do you still miss him?”. I took the bottle and took a big gulp . “Damn it is strong''. I swiped my mouth on the back of my hand while passing the bottle back to him. “ Humm ''. He hummed but his eyes never moved from the view as he took the bottle and gulped down. He was not looking at anything particular and had his head far away in his thoughts. “What was the password ?” . He handed over the bottle to me, for me to take the next sip. “Charlie”. I took my drink looking straight ahead . I could feel his eyes were boring holes at the side of my face. “I have something for you ”. I pull

Nora P.O.VI turned off the ignition and parked my car in the underground garage . The garage was empty , only one or two tube lights were on . I stepped out of my BMW and went straight to the elevator. When the elevator arrived I stepped inside the empty cart and pressed my floor number and waited for it to reach the floor. It was night time so no one was in the corridor . Other than me there are two other families that have apartments on this floor. If it was up to me I would have brought the entire floor. The entire hallway was almost dark and the only light was shining outside my door. As I stood outside my door to pull out my keys ,I looked at the doormat and then pulled out my phone to disable the security alarm of the apartment. Upon unlocking the door I entered the apartment, switched on just the hall light and closed the door behind. I walked deeper in the apartment, into the living room.“ I did not see that my shoelace was open, I think work is catching up to me ”. Crouche

Nora P.O.V. From the back seat, I watched the world speed by, flashes of red, blue, and yellow merging into a chaotic blur. Beside me, Agent Lee, my partner for this operation, sat reviewing the details of tonight’s mission. His sharp, focused gaze never left the screen of the tablet resting on his lap, illuminating his face with a cold, blue hue. Lee was dressed to impress or intimidate, depending on who you asked. He wore a royal-blue, three-piece suit with the sharp lines of a designer cut, complete with polished black leather shoes, a gold wristwatch, and thin wire-rimmed glasses. His entire look was the epitome of sleek professionalism, but his eyes held a quiet ruthlessness that spoke volumes. Lee had the kind of face that rarely smiled, and when it did, the effect was more chilling than comfort

Robert P.O.VThree Years LaterA cold wind swept through the empty cemetery, ruffling my hair as I knelt down, placing two bouquets on the weathered tombstones before me. The scent of fresh lilies and roses mixed with the crisp autumn air, a stark contrast to the lingering memories buried beneath the soil.I exhaled slowly, my breath visible in the chilly air. It was hard to believe three years had passed since I left Chicago, the mafia, and everything tied to the DiFronzo name. My father’s greed had destroyed too many lives, and when he died, the name died with him. Aldo's reign ended that day too along with the rest of them. The DiFronzo mafia was no more. Now, I was going with the name Liam James, a man free from the blood-soaked legacy of my past. My siblings, Nora, Cyber, and I had erased every trace of our existence, changing our identities and building a new life in Los Angeles. No more hiding from enemies. No more looking over our shoulders. For the first time, we were truly f

  • Agent 64   Chapter-100:The End

Nora P.O.VThe ship was a floating palace. The main deck, where the ceremony was set, was transformed into an elegant wedding venue. Rows of white chairs with gold trimmings faced a raised platform, where an altar stood beneath an arch of white roses and ivy. Fairy lights twinkled above like scattered stars, woven through the railings and draped along the ceiling. Round tables lined the sides, covered in pristine white tablecloths, adorned with golden candelabras and delicate glassware. The sea breeze carried the scent of fresh flowers, mixing with the salty air.A large dance floor stretched across the center, polished to a shine, reflecting the glow of the chandeliers hanging from the ship’s canopy. The bar area was stocked with premium liquor, arranged like jewels on mirrored shelves. Every detail screamed luxury, meant to impress the high-status guests that filled the space. But beneath the opulence, danger lurked.I moved through the crowd, blending in my black and white uniform.

  • Agent 64   Chapter-99:The Operation

Nora P.O.V "This is the final phase of our operation," Director Hastings began. "We have spent months tracking down the real mastermind behind the murders, the illegal trades, and the setup against the DiFronzo family. They wanted law enforcement to take down the DiFronzos for them, and when that did not work, they set their sights on wiping out the family themselves on a damn cruise ship, no less." A murmur passed through the room. Everyone had read the mission files, but nothing is going to make this operation easier. A mass execution at a wedding, orchestrated with such precision, was ruthless even by mafia standards. "The plan remains the same," Hastings continued. "We infiltrate as wedding staff. There will be real employees working alongside us, and some of the guests will be innocent. We do not move until they do. The last thing we need is to blow our cover too soon. Many of the men working under the DiFronzo name actually report to our target. We cannot afford a misstep.”

Nora P.O.V My feet barely touched the ground as I hurried up the grand staircase, taking two steps at a time. My flight had landed just thirty minutes ago, and I hadn’t even stopped to catch my breath. There was no time. I needed to tell Robert what Aldo was planning. The moment the taxi dropped me off outside the DiFronzo mansion, I rushed to the door, rapping my knuckles against it sharply. The maid who answered looked at me in confusion, likely startled by my urgency. "Where’s Robert?" I demanded. She hesitated for only a second before responding, “Sir is in his office.” I did not wait for anything else. Turning on my heels, I strode down the corridor, my pulse hammering against my ribs. The heavy doors of Robert’s office loomed ahead, and without a second thought, I twisted the handle and barged in. "Robert, Aldo is—" My words died on my tongue as I took in the scene before me. Robert sat behind his massive desk, his fingers laced together as he leaned slightly forward, hi

Nora P.O.V I unzipped my suitcase and pulled out the outfit I had chosen for tonight was a fitted black top, dark pants, and a baseball cap. I am probably going to undress but it is the least of my worries. It was a night for business. I needed to stay unnoticed, to slip in and out without drawing attention. Lifting the small black bag from my suitcase, I ran my fingers over its surface. Inside, the blue diamonds rested like a fortune in my grasp. It feels like yesterday when I stole them from under DiFronzo's nose . Just in few months a lot has changed. I can not believe that just in a short span of time I am able to fall in love and break my heart. The family that I wanted to bring down, I began to protect them but a lot of growing had also happened on my part . They did not deserve my hate for my uncle's death when they were not even involved other than Robert Sr. I hate that bastard . If everything goes as planned, by the end of the night, they would be sold, and I would walk a

Nora P.O.V It had been almost a week since Robert’s engagement, and in that time, we barely acknowledged each other. We kept our distance, stayed professional, and avoided unnecessary conversations. The house felt off like something was out of place, yet no one dared to question it. Stella had almost moved into the DiFronzo mansion, flaunting her presence in a way that made my stomach turn. Meanwhile, Robert practically buried himself in work, meeting with no one unless absolutely necessary. Nothing made sense anymore. Now, in his office at DiFronzo Enterprises, I stood behind his chair as he spoke with an accountant, discussing the expenditure of a recent project. Out of all the businesses under the DiFronzo name, this was one of their legal ones, a clean investment. Robert listened with a detached expression, signing papers without looking up. The accountant left after the meeting, carrying the finalized reports. As soon as the door clicked shut, Robert turned toward me. “Patri

Nora P.O.V I ran my fingers down the fabric of my dress, smoothing out the silk as I gazed at my reflection in the full-length mirror. The black and red gown hugged my figure perfectly, the intricate floral lace carving delicate patterns over the sheer black overlay, while the royal red silk underneath added a touch of richness. The detachable black skirt trailed behind me like a shadow, enhancing my every step with an air of mystery. My dark waves cascaded over my shoulders, shining under the dim glow of the vanity lights like a river kissed by moonlight. I had returned to the DiFronzo estate this morning after completing the case, though formalities had dragged the process out longer than expected. I hadn’t spoken to Robert properly since I left a few days ago. Our last interaction had been brief, filled with unspoken words and unreadable expressions. Lily had barely given me a moment to settle in before dragging me off for dress shopping, her excitement contagious despite my exh

Nora P.O.V The room was steeped in darkness, the kind that felt suffocating, pressing in from all sides. The only source of illumination was a weak, flickering bulb hanging from the ceiling, its light barely reaching the corners of the space. The bulb swung slightly, creaking on its loose fixture, casting long, shifting shadows over the stacks of cardboard boxes piled against the walls. The air inside was thick with dust and the stale scent of sweat and old wood. Each breath I took felt heavy, tainted by something metallic smell. The distant echoes of gunfire and chaos outside barely reached this place, but even with all of that, nothing in this room disturbed me more than the sight before me. Nora P.O.V The warehouse loomed ahead, its steel exterior bathed in the pale glow of the distant streetlights. A thick, eerie silence blanketed the area, broken only by the occasional rustle of the wind against the stacked shipping containers. The air was tense, charged with the weight of the mission ahead. Inside, Layson and his son were being held captive by the Cutlers, and there was no telling what condition they were in. Our van was parked a few yards away, tucked into the shadows, where Cyber and his team monitored the interior movements. The dim glow of their screens illuminated their faces, their fingers flying over keyboards as they fed us real-time updates through our Bluetooth devices. “Heat signatures confirm at least two dozen men inside,” Cyber’s voice crackled in my ear. “More might be deeper in. No sign of Layson or the child yet, but we are tracking.” I nodded, my grip tightening around my firearm as I surveyed the agents standing with me. I had already distribut
