"What is it?" The mayor asked.

"The person in that cage, I don't think it is Adele."

"What do you mean?"

"Her eyes," she replied, "those are not Adele's eyes."

"Really? Are you sure you're not mistaken?"

"Well, I could be wrong, but then I've seen Adele's eyes. I told you once that I could see the innocence in her eyes."

"And what do you see in the eyes of the girl in the cage?" The mayor asked.

"All I can see are fear, guilt, and regret. She doesn't seem innocent to me."

"This is quite mindboggling. So you're saying this might not be Adele?"

"No, she might not be the one."

"So, if it's not Adele, who is it?" He asked.

"I have my suspicions but I think only Aryan will be able to confirm them." The sheriff said. "On second thoughts though,

we can send for Selene. If she comes in front of me, then I will know that she's not the one in the cage."
