Chapter 456

"You're still not sleeping?"

Bertha saw her husband enter the room as she stepped out of the bathroom, he looked tired after so much fun they had had today.

After having lunch with Venn and Mica, Shane took them to a nearby park and Clement enthusiastically agreed. They spent the rest of the afternoon there, both he and Bertha played hide and seek with her son and they had a small picnic there. Clement was so happy when his dad finally promised to give him a dog for his fifth birthday after Shane and Bertha saw how adorable their son was playing with the dog in the park.

After having dinner at another restaurant where many women squealed over their adorable sons, they finally went home. Clement finally fell asleep five minutes before they got home, much to his parents' delight.

Shane hummed, put the phone down on the bedside drawer, and hugged his wife, who was standing in front of her dressing table. She smelled like soap and vanilla as he buried his face in the crook of her neck,
