2: Avoiding Jessica

Jessica was grateful that her two children were fast asleep in their separate bedrooms. They had been questioning her about where their father had gone and why he wasn't usually around in the morning when they were preparing for school.

She could not believe that she had to lie to her innocent kids, telling them that their father had traveled for a business meeting. Meanwhile, Dylan didn't pick up her calls at all, and she had no idea where he had gone.

Jessica entered their bedroom, still holding the divorce papers in her hands. She saw Dylan stripping off his suit as he stood naked in the room, preparing to take a bath.

Jessica gulped hard as her blue eyes met her husband's hard body. He looked like he wasn’t aging at all, but he had matured, and he was not the same man she had married five years ago.

Jessica remembered how her father had rejected Dylan because her family had a personal hatred for poor people. She had to beg her family on his behalf and had even acted angrily with her own parents just so they would approve of Dylan and accept him as her husband.

She supported his business to grow, and now that he was successful—a billionaire, blessed with two beautiful kids—Dylan was talking to her about divorce and questioning their five years of marriage.

Jessica knew that marriage wasn't a "do or die" affair, but she had tried to be the best wife she could be for Dylan. She woke up very early in the morning to prepare breakfast for him and their children. She also prepared them for school every day and went back to pick them up after school.

Jessica knew that she had paused her own life to help Dylan build his life and their family by caring for their two kids at home and being a full-time housewife. Now Dylan was telling her about divorce and that their five years of marriage were over.

"Dylan," Jessica called to get his attention, and he turned around to face her, still naked.

"What is it? Have you signed the divorce papers?" Dylan asked coldly, staring at her face.

"No, Dylan. We cannot divorce. I cannot agree to divorce you, and you know that I love you very much," Jessica replied, wanting to believe that her husband had spoken about divorce out of his drunken state.

She walked up to him, trying to embrace him where he stood in the middle of their bedroom. She attempted to touch his hard, bronze, chiseled chest, but Dylan quickly caught her hand and pushed it away.

"You have no right to my body anymore, Jessica! The sooner you sign those divorce papers and leave, the better for you. Go back to your father’s house and find another man to marry you."

"Dylan!" Jessica felt puzzled and heartbroken by her husband's words, her blue eyes welling up with tears.

She questioned him, "So you're cheating on me now, Dylan? You can confidently tell me to leave and go back to my parents' house to find another man? Is that how much hatred you have for me now?"

Dylan ignored her questions, feeling her eyes on his bare body.

He walked away into the bathroom to take a shower while Jessica stood speechless in their bedroom, still holding the divorce papers. She missed her husband and wanted him to make love to her, hoping that when he returned home, he would apologize for being gone for two days. Instead, he was speaking of divorce and telling her she had no access to his body, depriving her of her conjugal rights.

Jessica looked at the divorce papers in her hands as the white bulb in their bedroom illuminated the white-painted walls.

She walked over to the headboard of their magnificent bed and placed the divorce papers there. Then she stripped off her clothes, deciding to join Dylan in the shower, believing he was joking and acting out of drunkenness.

As she entered the bathroom, she embraced her body, knowing she was a thick woman with a sharp-pointed nose, blue sparkling eyes, and long golden hair. Despite having two beautiful children, she still exuded a cute and sexy curvy figure that attracted many mature men, but she remained faithful to Dylan.

Jessica had never looked down on Dylan, not even when he was struggling. She loved him deeply, supported him, and made love to him in whatever way he desired. Dylan was a sexual person, and they were blessed with two children.

She remembered meeting Dylan at a fuel station where he worked as an attendant. He had filled her car with fuel on their first meeting, and now she rushed into the bathroom to join him before he finished his shower.

Dylan stood under the shower, not usually using the white bathtub, and when he saw Jessica walk in, her sexy body made him hard immediately. He quickly turned away from her, hastening his bath and rinsing off his soapy body, eager to leave the bathroom.

Dylan rushed out, not wanting to spend any more time with Jessica, knowing he would end up giving in to her.

Jessica stood speechless in the bathroom, shaking her head in sadness as she watched him leave. "What's wrong with him? Why is he behaving like this?" she murmured.

She had seen Dylan rush out and walked to the white bathtub to take her bath there instead. Once inside, she began scrubbing her body.

---

Dylan walked into the master bedroom, knowing he wanted to divorce Jessica because his first love, Rosie Andrew, was back in the country. Rosie had visited him at his office, crying as she asked, "Why, Dylan? Why didn't you wait for me to return before marrying another woman after ten years of knowing me?"

Dylan had promised Rosie in the past that he would marry her, having been the first to deflower her. Although he was not Jessica's first, she was still kind-hearted and genuine.

No matter what he did to upset Jessica, she never got angry; she always overlooked everything. He had previously told her that she couldn't work and ignore taking care of him and their children while leaving everything to their maid. Did she want the maid to warm his bed too?

Jessica happily quit her job as a banker to become a full-time housewife just to please him.

When her car broke down three years into their marriage, Dylan refused to repair it or replace it, even though he was a billionaire. Instead, he bought a new car for himself to irritate Jessica, hoping she would get angry and leave him. But Jessica managed her old car and sometimes used public transportation instead.

She refused to leave their home, fixing her car herself and managing with the reduced amount of money Dylan gave her for food. He had told her, "You're too fat, Jessica. You should eat only once a day to lose weight. This money will be enough for you and the kids. Don't you watch your weight. Just two kids and you already look like my mother's agemate. So, this money is enough."

Jessica smiled and replied, "But I'm still beautiful, Dylan. You can't expect me to remain the same 22-year-old Jessica you married. I'm 27 now, and change is constant. Even you too, my love. You've changed too; as you look more mature and handsome than when we married five years ago."

"Hm," Dylan frowned, knowing how Jessica could smile through every difficult situation with him. She never nagged or compared him to other wealthy men. She mostly encouraged him not to give up in life, and he felt frustrated about how to divorce the kind-hearted woman he had married.
