Chapter 7
Alcantara Walters
I am now convinced that the people in this mansion are either psychopaths or non-humans, I mean how the hell was this man able to keep a straight face and tell me that I was going to fall in love with him after a month?
What kind of challenge was that?
“Can you even listen to yourself right now? How the hell is this a plan?”
I watched the sly smug on his face disappear when he realized that I wasn’t going to buy his shit.
“You do not understand it?”
I nod affirmatively.
“You are giving me two options and both of them entail that I stay here in your crazy mansion for more than a day? Hell 31 days, what do you want me to understand?”
He releases his grip on me and I step further away from him so he doesn’t touch or grab me anymore.
“I can’t stay here, I feel uneasy, as much as I don’t have a life out there, I sure as hell know that I don’t belong here either!”
He looks unfazed by my pleas and responds.
“Since you can’t listen to me, I think I will have to show you instead.”
I scoff. “Show me what exactly?”
He looks into my eyes with an expressionless face. “Why you will stick to my terms and stay here for a month”
He puts his hand into his side pocket and for a second, I thought he was going to bring out a gun but instead, he brought out a titanium-looking whistle which he blows.
In five minutes, a black horse comes running towards him and I gush.
Why the hell did that look hot for a second?
He takes off his Tuxedo and tosses it to one of the guards, then I watch as he folds his sleeves, I immediately notice a drawing of a dreagon tatoo on his arm and for some reason I couldn’t take my eyes off it. I bearly even notice when he straightens the horse.
It’s the horse’s neighing that brings me back to my senses and I ask.
“What are you doing?”
“We are going for a little ride”
He climbs on the horse and stretches his hand towards me.
I struggled to take it as I wondered how I was going to climb on a horse in this dress.
“Tara, give me your hand?” he instructs with a commanding voice.
I drop a sigh and give him my hand.
In one pull, he lifts me and gets me on the horse, so easily that I start to wonder how strong this man was.
As he grabs the reins and tells me to do the same, I feel his breath on my neck but try very much to ignore it and act normal, we start riding until we get to a one-story building which was called the Red House.
As we come down from the horse, I hear a gunshot which makes me freeze for a second.
I find myself holding on to him as I have never heard a gunshot this close.
He gives me a reassuring look which I oddly find comforting.
“Don’t worry Tara, nothing and no one can ever harm you as long as you are by my side.”
I tried to act like whatever he had just said to me didn’t have any effect on me.
So, I ask a question in a diversion.
“Why are we here though?”
He doesn’t answer and takes me inside instead.
Fear grips me and I find myself clutching onto his hand tightly.
When we get to a hallway, I begin to hear groans of males crying in pain and begging for their lives, Alphonso smiles at me encouragingly like this is the most normal thing on earth.
“My mother doesn’t like to be disturbed, but it doesn’t mean we can’t at least take a sneak peek”
The guard stationed by the door opens it and what I see shocks me to my bone.
Three males were kneeling, all bloodied and beaten up, and to add to the humiliation they were all butt naked and tied up as Sovrano stands before them holding a freaking matchet!
She then yells to the men.
“Okay Chickens, whose cock am I cutting off first?”
I almost scream in horror on hearing that as Alphonso uses his hand to cover my lips and pulls me to himself tightly, in a hugging position.
His lips find my ears and he whispers.
“You are quavering like crazy, Tara.”
Dread grips me to the core as I just stare at nothing, sniffing Alphonso’s soft wood smelling cologne from his shirt, too shocked to talk.
“This is just the tip of the iceberg; I wonder what my mother would have done to you if she found out that you wanted to escape and break the heart of her one and only son.”
My legs could no longer stand still as intense fear consumed me, his hand cupping my lips so tightly I couldn’t move my mouth.
“You are lucky that I like you, my initial plan was to reject you and get you killed, I wasn’t going to blink an eye on that one. For sure”
I whimpered as my eyes widened in terror at this statement.
What is this psychopath saying? I thought he was being nice to me at the garden a few minutes ago.
Before I knew what was happening, he used his free hand and began sliding it to my neck.
“You have heard enough for the day Tara, now sleep so I can carry you to bed”
I have no idea what he did, but I immediately felt drowsy. I struggled to keep my eyes open but I simply couldn’t and slowly I lost consciousness immediately.
I heard a faint voice say something like.
“I will have you and you will be mine, all mine.”
What the hell has the universe set me up for?
Hello everyone, I know that the switch on Alphonso's personality may have seemed too sudden, and well I'm just the writer and it's left to you the readers to choose if you would like the character. so all I can do is write, hope, and write, let's dive into chapter seven and see how this chaos goes.
Chapter 8Alphonso’s Pov. I had just finished telling my mother all about me and Tara’s plan because I knew that if my mother ever had her way, she would get us married in a week.“You are being a too lenient young man, what in fucks name has my little fiery choice done to you?”I smile at her as she gazes at me in surprise. Did she just call Tara her little fiery choice? It makes me laugh so I reply confidently.“I want to unravel the mystery of who she is, she interests me, in ways no one not even myself can understand.”Knowing my mother all too well, I knew that she still wasn’t that convinced so she asked.“But 31 days? that’s a lot of time.”I almost drop a loud sigh of exasperation before replying.“In the end, Ma, I will make the choices.”She nods after seeing my persistence.“Fine, I would be traveling for a month anyway, I just hope that when I get back, you will be giving me good news.”I grin.“I sure would.”It’s now midnight and I decide to visit Tara ‘s room one more
Chapter 9Alcantara Walters.I struggled to stand and listen to the words of the psychopath that had me glued to him this morning. He looked at me like I was the only interesting thing that had ever occurred to him in this wicked life of his and it got me scared. How could someone who had just met me in one day make me quiver to this extent? I remembered my brother’s advice when he would usually tell me that eyes don’t lie.Right now with the way this man looked at me coupled with the words he was speaking. It is confirmed. He is… Mentally unstable. It all makes sense now, why his mother would be kidnapping me and forcing me to marry her son.I was right in the first place no one would want to stay with such a man, no matter how dashing he looked up close with his evil hazel eyes that could snare anyone under the sheets with him. What the hell am I thinking? It’s almost as if my body is having a conflict with my mind. What the hell was this man trying to do to me?I look away from him
Chapter 10Alphonso’s pov.-Five years ago-I had just walked into one of my favorite clubs and moved my way to the VIP spot made for me as I didn’t want to be disturbed.I watched the strippers there to entertain me with intent but at that time I wasn’t feeling too fuckery at the moment.Just then a message notification pops up in my phone.BOSS HE IS NOW IN THE CARI smiled and decided to call him about the business I had come for.By Him. I meant Antonio Blanco, the thorn in my flesh and the thief who dared to steal my billion-dollar deal.I dial his number and wait for his response.“Who is this?” I hear his voice ask and I speak.“Antonio Blanco, I see you must be having a wonderful evening.?”He must have been so irritated by my voice that I heard his exasperated sigh.“What do you want Mr Manuel?”I grin, it’s time to show the other card.“I’ve got a question for you.?”I say trying to rile him up a little bit.“Ride or die, Antonio?”I ask and he replies in confusion.“If you a
Chapter 11AlcantaraWhy does the universe seem to be against me in this moment of my life?I can’t believe this man had just ruined my chances to escape and leave this place. I glare at him, as he just stands there, grinning at me like this is all some twisted joke.Even behind the sleek black nose mask that covered half his face, I could see that self-satisfied smirk of his. It’s funny how a person’s arrogance can seep through any barrier, no matter how hard they try to hide it.“There’s always a price for leaving the mansion Mami,”He says, his voice smooth and taunting, as though he’s relishing each word. His dark eyes glimmered with something I couldn’t quite name. It felt like a mix of amusement and cruelty that made my skin crawl.“You know I can’t help you run away from me, Alcantara. I mean, you are my princess, and as your prince, I have to stay by your side at all times.”The audacity of his words hit me like a slap. What the fuck does he think he is? I feel my pulse quick
Chapter 12Alphonso…I was now bored watching Antonio be treated with him still not telling us the business we came for.I had to ask, I didn’t want my princess to be Uncomfortable.“We don’t have all the time in the world, so tell me what business proposition you have,”I said, trying to keep things moving. Blanco sat across from us, looking too relaxed now his wounds had been treated. He leaned back, still wearing that self-satisfied grin. “Okay”He pushed some documents to me and continued.“I recently bought a two-billion-dollar tourist hotel in Thailand—top location, luxury suites, the works extremely beautiful and I want you to invest with a ten percent interest rate. We could make a lot of money together.”I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed.“ Ten percent interest you say? And how do I know this isn’t some kind of trap?”Blanco started to respond, but then Tara’s flinching distracted me a bit. I noticed her squirming in her seat. She was tugging at the handcuffs, clearly irritate
Chapter one. Alcantara Walters.I just marched angrily to the company’s building in annoyance and disgust. A security guard tried stopping me on sight but I was able to dodge his attempt to grab me relentlessly and used the elevator before he could get to me. Of course, due to my messy look and scattered hair, I looked like I didn’t belong in that environment, like a woman on drugs or something. Little do these people know that I am the secret wife of their owner and CEO, Pascal Danvers and Sadly, that was all going to change from today. While inside I could see the reddening of my face on the reflection of the mirror-like elevator walls. I gripped the Divorce papers in my hands. It was now or never. My heart kept beating fast but I consoled myself by remembering why I was doing this. When the doors opened up to the 25th floor which happened to be Pascal’s Office, I rushed past the receptionist and barged into his office, I could hear her yell at me to stop and that he was in
Chapter Two Alphonso ManuelThere were two kinds of people I hated. The first one were slow witted people and the second kind are the ones that lie to my face. And unfortunately, I was going to deal with the second kind of person right this instant. I am standing in the torturing chambers staring at one of the useless beings that used to work for the Manuel family, my family. A liar and a betrayer of the family, a snitch to the core. Ten of my guards joined me in this quest as his case was a very critical one. No one betrayed the family and let go easily. They were always made to face a slow and painful death. When we got to the room he was in.I took off my suit and passed it to the guard beside me. My little prisoner in question was tied kneeling and was shaking heavily as he saw me. I relished in this a lot. The fear in the eyes of this lousy betraying leeches. “Boss, please forgive me, it was the devils doing,” Now this is what got me so irritated, those that blamed th
Chapter three. Alcantara Walters.I opened my eyes and saw a golden ceiling before me, the room was spacious and huge and I started to wonder if I was in heaven already. I tried slipping out of the bed but I clumsily pushed down a little golden calling bell that was beside me and its loud noise began to echo in the room. Just then I started hearing a lot of footsteps. It sounded like people marching up the stairs, in a minute the door in the room flew open and seven women in maid uniforms carrying a lot of dishes came into the room. I opened my mouth in shock. As an older and friendly-looking maid of the seven came a bit closer to talk to me. “Good morning, Miss, it is a pleasure to serve you this morning, we have arranged a full-course breakfast which has been prepared by our very fine chef Sir Angus of great Ireland. We hope it will be to your liking” I stared mutely at the woman unable to say a word as I watched them bring a footed large tray on the bed and drop all the food
