The packhouse was like a jail but that was seldom talked about. The Luna liked to play family house, everyone under the same roof, eating dinner together, and boring the shit out of each other.

Alexander on the other hand was a damned ghost. Jeez. No matter how early I woke up or how late I slept I'd never been opportune to see him. It was almost like he hid himself purposely.

We finished Lunch in the dining room and I waited to help the maid's pack up, not that I wanted to, but because she loved it. She loved to see me work and pretend to be the best daughter-in-law she'd ever seen.

It was a draining act that drove me well out of my mind! While in the kitchen with the maids, I saw Logan walk through the corridor and I went to meet him, just to catch a hint of his body language and see if he was going to be a problem to my plans.

“Hey,” I tapped his shoulder and he turned, shaken up for some reason I didn't understand. “How are you?”
