Exactly three months later, I woke up with so much joy in my heart. I stood in front of Ashton who was ready to go to work and smiled.

I was hoping he would have a conversation with me and give me the balance of my money, so I could leave, but he said nothing. He merely smiled back, kissed my cheek, and left for work.

I decided to wait, telling myself that if he came back, we would definitely settle everything with me.

That evening, Angel and I had a long talk. I thanked her for being by my side. Even though she did it for the money, I was grateful that she did her best to never get caught.

"It's okay," she told me. "As long as we all come out of this with something to help us move on in life, I am happy for the both of us."

When Ashton got back, however, he still said nothing about our contract coming to an end. At this point, I knew I couldn't wait anymore. The next morning, I woke up early, fed my sons, and approached him in our bedroom, hugging him from behind.
