"You gonna stay with me tonight?"

Wyneth was there to care for the unwell Hayden. As their fingers intertwined, his gentle kisses on her hand suggested more than gratitude. Feeling his intentions, Wyneth imagined a kiss from him. This thought made her pull away her hand.

"Has Simo mentioned when you can eat? You hungry?"

Hayden replied, "Can only drink water for now."

"You still can't eat?" Wyneth's gaze filled with pity as she looked at Hayden. Seeing his discomfort and hunger, she thought, 'He's truly pitiable.'

"Yep."

"Serves you right," she softly chided. "Who told you not to eat properly before? This is what you get for it."

"Yep," Hayden agreed. "You're right. I did this to myself. Will you keep an eye on me from now on?"
