Chapter 61

Isabella's POV

If you think I slept after Xander just told me that he is in love with me, then you are very mistaken. Sleep became a stranger to me, and even though I tried my best to close my eyes, begging for the darkness to take me, it was just impossible because all I could hear was Xander's voice saying those words to me.

'' Come on Isabella, put yourself together, this might be a drunken mistake. I am sure he didn't mean any of what he was saying,'' I said to myself, but the voices in my head just laughed at me.

'' Oh Isabella, stop deserving yourself, you know very well that it is only in a drunken state that a man speaks the truth,'' my subconscious taunted me with its words.

'' You know nothing,'' I scolded the voices in my head as I continued to force myself to sleep, but I couldn't, so I stayed awake until the sun rose in the sky.
