Jack was Bailey's high school sweetheart. Though through the years their relationship or lack thereof was far from perfect. Jack had always been obsessed with Bailey but never showed how much he longed to be with her. Her curly red hair and those green eyes where to much for him to handle. Her scent was intoxicating. Vanilla....cupcakes...cookies... The thought of her made his mouth water. If she ever knew his secrets she would surely never look at him the same way.
View MoreJack couldn't hide his emotions as he moved next to the stage. The closer the got the more he couldn't deny his heart ached for her. She smiled when he approached the stage. The last thing he thought he would ever get to see again. Her smile. He felt the blood rush to his cheeks and he was completely vulnerable to her charms. He threw the wad of cash on the stage before she could take notice. Quickly he moved back to his seat and watched in awe as she collected her earnings adding them to her basket. He knew she wouldn't be happy to see him but at least he could go home knowing he got to see her beautiful face once again after all.Jack picked up his phone and began scrolling through old pictures. No one else here was worth his attention. Vanilla? If he closed his eyes he could swear he was in a bakery not a gentlemen's club.Smack! Bailey was behind him, he didn't even see her walk up. So immersed in her scent he drowned everything out. Looking up she had slammed the dollar bill he
Stage set number 1. The crowd was quiet and not quite as rowdy as it should be later when the drinks start kicking in. Bailey use to tremble in fear every time her name was called to take stage. The thought of performing while everyone sat back in their chairs used to make her legs shake. Now it was just another night at work. She come to enjoy the simpleness of being up there. She felt free. Sure there were always some customers that seemed to only show up to poke fun but their opinions didn't bug her like they use to. She was free up there. Sometimes she would get so caught up in the music nothing else mattered. She felt fierce and untouchable. Yes, it's true, this was a gentlemens club but the dancers had all the power. When customers walked into the building they were on her turf and she damanded respect. That soft, quiet, timid girl had finally found her voice and she carried herself with pride. She could choose who she sat with, how she looked, and how hard she planned to work
"What should we get in to tonight boys?" Jack says as he fumbles through his phone on the couch. No one answered. His friends were only his friends when it benefited them. He was just an outsider that fell into this crowd after high school. They weren't the best of people and no one that he would keep a lasting bond with but they were all he had in his life now.As he looked around the room no one was aware he was even still there. Most of them were either passed out drunk, hungover, or too high to function. Looking at his clock it was only seven on a Friday night. "I'm out!" he yelled. With a few grunts as a response. These were his only friends but a rough bunch to say the least but so was he. He had no family and besides the sorry excuses he had for friends the only joy he found was the sweet relief of intoxication. He hid himself away for years to avoid the judgemental eyes of those who knew him before he became a selfish monster. If there is no one around to love, there is no on
Bailey's POV The start of the weekend work shift weighed on her mind. The gentlemen's club was her last ditch effort to change her life for the better. Most people looked down on her for using her body to make money. But after years of working dead end jobs to make ends meet she had to make a change. Working at the club allowed her to be in charge of her own schedule and how many hours she put in a week. While she knew it was frowned upon she had gained independence there and come to love herself more than she could ever have anticipated."No one has to know, and if they find out so what" she thought to herself. It's not like she advertised for the club. Bailey kept her work life a complete secret from everyone around her. The club she chose was in a different town an hour away. For the sole purpose that no one would accidentally pop in and see her. In a years time she had not seen a single familiar face. She lived two separate lives. One during the day and a completely different one
