Chapter 3

Leo's POV :

As David, my friend, invited me to his newly opened night club, away from the city and my territory, I couldn't refuse. I was really into partying and stuff before I took over the responsibilities. Or should I say hardships?? Hm… anyways with a half mind I went there and the vibe was good. It was a club open for everyone, even humans. Yes, my buddy specially invited me as he got good booze with hot babes. I was in the VIP lounge watching the dance floor, with two blondes side by side, I was enjoying my weekend. That's when a girl caught my attention. Her moves were amazing and she was too curvaceous not to notice. As I saw her move towards the bar counter, I silently followed her. My wolf, Karl, was just as excited as me to go after her.

She was looking very funny as she was singing something so loud, whereas her body was hardly supporting herself. I was hoping to see her face, and when I took her drink from her and drank it. I saw her furious face with reddened eyes, flushed cheeks and… pouting lips…!!

And she seems so familiar…!! Before I could pinpoint who it was, she blacked out in my arms. Then I know, it was Laura's care giver, Zoe. I don't know where she lived, and didn't even feel like abandoning her there. She is too sexy, and people may take advantage of her situation. I took her home. But, she vomited in the car, so I had to change her clothing. Oh Jeez, it was really hard for me to control Karl, as he was addicted to her beauty and scent. It wasn't like she was our mate, but somehow she was so beautiful and innocent that I could hardly control myself around her. 

In the morning, when I came out, I didn't expect her to be awake. And I saw her watching me. Her face was scared like a bunny, and I was enjoying every expression flashing on her face. But,  I moved to the walk-in closet as I didn't wish to make her uncomfortable.

When I was sure she might be refreshed, I entered that room with a knock. I know she might have git many questions. But, I completely ignored her and went straight to the cabinet and was taking files. Then, I heard her say,

"What happened last night?? I was at the party and… my dress..." She held her head as she was trying to remember things.

"Last night…!!" He paused. There was a small grin on my lips which I covered before facing her.

"Last night, I changed your clothes. Do you have anything else to ask??" My answer was a shock to her that she stood there frozen.

I turned around towards the cabinet as whatever I said just now didn't matter to me. But, as soon as I heard her going towards the door, I felt the need to give her an explanation. I don't explain

 things with anyone, but with her, when I saw the hurt in her eyes, I had to tell her.

So I explained to her the details, why I had to help her change her clothing. And as soon as I said this, Zoe turned around guilty and said sorry to me.

I wanted to know why she went to such a place alone. So, I thought about teasing her to get more out of her.

"Hm… alright, but next time go with one of your friends or boyfriend… Not everyone would be a gentleman like me..." 

As soon as I finished, I saw her going red with fury. Something irked her so bad that she burst in anger and said things without any fear and even dared to question me in such a way. After she said enough, she left the place.

 But, I had an amusing smile on my lips as I watched the girl going away, muttering things all the way. Nobody dares to say anything against me as I am the alpha, not just any alpha. But the strongest aloha alive… And for humans, they know how dangerous I can be as a ruthless billionaire. So everyone fears me. And I am used to enjoying it. But, a mere human girl, she was scolding me instead. I chuckled thinking about her. 

'Interesting...!!' My wolf Karl mumbled.

What a crazy girl she is…!!

I was going to the office in a hurry. I was late as I got distracted by her thoughts. She is so lovely and fierce at the same time. Even Felix, my assistant and beta had also noticed this and asked me.

On the way, I felt my car suddenly halt as the driver told me in panic that the car had hit someone. And when I turned around a familiar shadow was coming and I couldn't believe it was Zoe. She stepped inside and pleaded with the driver, even without looking at me sideways.

"I am sorry. It was my mistake. Can you please drop me at the medical university hostel?" 

Then I noticed that she was covered in dirt and, due to the hit, she might have been hurt somewhere.

"Are you okay, Zoe??" I was getting concerned.

 "What are you doing here …??" She asked with a shocked expression. I wanted to laugh at her question. But, I remained calm and said,

"This is my car, Zoe." As I stated it, she lowered her head like an obedient child who was scolded by her parents. She promised to clean this mess later. And I agreed in response.

Soon, the car reached her hostel gate. She stepped out and thanked me. But as soon as she moved,I saw her holding her legs and moving slowly forward.  

Before I could think,I had offered to take her to the hospital. But she declined my offer. But, it looks like her legs hurt.pretty bad. So insisted again, she started getting angry and completely declined my suggestion. I know there was no other way, so I took her in a bridal style. I felt her go stiff as soon as she was in my arms and soon loosened up. But, as she got over the shock, she started struggling against me. But, I chose to completely ignore her fit. Deep inside he was enjoying her struggle and all the tantrums.  No one ever dared to stand against Leonard Ruiz Kingston. But, she did. Not only once. But twice on the same day…!!

As we reached the hospital, she started to panic as it was expensive. But, I assured her that I will take care of the expenses. But, she brushed it off by saying she doesn't need my charity. What she doesn't know is, it's my hospital. I was helping her by holding her arms but she was struggling against I saw people noticing us, so I had no other way. If I tell her nicely, she won't take it as serious. So I took my cold tone and said, 

"You better keep shut and walk with me. Or else you will know the real me…!!"

After that she was like a well behaved child. I stood by her side while Doctor's checking on her. She only got minor injuries and bruises.

After checking her condition with Doctor, I picked the medicine and supported it with her hand. He noticed that all the staff there were watching them eagerly. They haven't seen their boss coming with a girl ever and all of them were looking at her with jealousy and amazement. 

Suddenly she started struggling again, maybe as she also noticed the crowd watching us. She moved away from me and walked forward limping with her injured leg.

I could only sigh by watching that scene. When all the beauties around me are craving my attention. And here she is showing an attitude to me. I felt it was an insult.

Furiously, I strode towards Zoe and held her closer by wrapping his hand around her waist. Zoe was shocked and shouted while struggling for a release. 

"What the hell are you doing…??" I heard her say in panic. Her attitude made me so irritated that I tightened my grip on her.

And I gave her the best threat ever,

"You better stay still, or else I will kiss you in front of all these people. Do you want to be famous? And viral over the internet. It will be sensational news and people might even take you like my new girlfriend."

It was fun to see her face going from force to panic. She even closed her mouth with her hand and moved forward along with me. After seeing her sudden change, I controlled my laughter and moved towards my car. Even my wolf Karl started to enjoy her tantrums. After safely taking her to the hostel, I went back home. Even after going to bed, I was thinking about Zoe.

When did I start caring about her??

And why should I think about her??

Is that because she is turning her back to me?? Or even dares to talk back at me?? She is something different than I never crossed paths with. Maybe Laura had already found this speciality in her, that's why when I tell her to find an experienced doctor to assist her, she always rejects.

I don't know… But, one thing I was sure of was that, whatever it is, I am enjoying it. 

And I couldn't wait to see her again…!!

And I know exactly what I need to do…
