Chapter 6

**Mavin's POV**

After I had escorted my grandpa home and took him to his room downstairs, I ensured that my grandpa drank his medicine before I left him to the care of Angela and went back upstairs to my bedroom.

I went into my closet and changed my casual clothes into a blue suit, setting out to leave for the company. As I had a business meeting at noon with my shareholders and partners.

I had already contacted Henry Black to reschedule the business meeting for the afternoon and let my secretary know that I wouldn't be arriving at the company on time.

It was Saturday though, October 18, and I took my time to dress up properly in my room. As the business meeting included meeting with other foreign partners that I work with. Even as Grandpa Charlie had disconnected his company's association from mine, except I marry to give him a great-grandchild or impregnate someone before the year's end.

I knew I still had to work very hard to control my Grandpa's company too. Although, It was only a temporary warning, but I didn't want to take my Grandpa's warning seriously, nor his written will either.

I walked towards my room mirror again to examine my looks, and I adjusted my blue suit necktie to fit properly.

After finishing adjusting my suit, I put on my socks and black shoes and left the house, going downstairs to my garage, where I have a lot of cars. Ranging from my SUVs to my G-wagon and sports cars, as I drove around the city by myself.

I walked towards my black SUV, a black Range Rover Sport, as it was one of my favorite cars. I got into the driver's seat, started the vehicle engine, and finally drove out of my residence to my company.

I was still thinking about Thelma, the young lady with whom I had a one-night stand. I thought it best to get a complete and full information check about her. I couldn't remember using any protection on her either the previous night, and it wasn't like I had planned on sleeping with any woman either.

Also knowing it was her first time, I felt bad, as I had slept with her roughly, because I hadn't been with a woman before.

I finally arrived at my company's gate, as it was a smooth ride from home to the office, without any hold up along the way.

I drove into my company headquarters, as that was where my office was. Although we have other smaller branches in the other states.

I stepped down elegantly from my car and walked towards the company building.

As I entered, bodyguards were guarding around the luxurious five-star building.

I made my way towards the elevator, going up to the third floor, where the meeting hall was, using the private elevator. I stepped out and went straight to the business meeting.

I was a black man, so it wasn't visible on my face about what had happened to me the previous night.

I was very mean too, so unfriendly with most of my company staff, and they knew it best to work diligently, and even the female staff didn't try to seduce me at work.

I entered the large meeting hall and made my way toward the head seat, where I usually sat as the CEO of MW Group.

I could see that most of our top partners had arrived, and they all had a displeased look on their faces. As I arrived late and the meeting hall was silent, then I sat down on my seat.

I didn't know what the topic of discussion was about again, as all I could think of was Thelma again.

What had she done to me? I didn't know, but I was sweating, despite the air conditioning in the large meeting hall.

Luckily, my assistant Henry Black was there to help me out, and he stood up and started to read out the brief of the business meeting to all our partners in the meeting room, and the new marketing value, pricing, and shares that we have in partnering with them.

Well, we only have one top competitor, and that was the BEEH Group. As they were far ahead of us, and after the business meeting had come to an end, since I was still sweating seriously, I stood up and shook hands with some of our partners. Not having the time to negotiate with them, I told them to meet with Henry Black for further negotiations, and I swiftly left the meeting hall with a displeased look on my face.

I wasn't in the right mood to speak with any of our top partners, and I knew they were aware of my mood swings at times. As I have heard different comments about me.

I made my way out of the meeting hall and entered the elevator that took me up to the fourth floor.

I stepped out of the elevator again and walked towards my office door. My secretary, Mrs. Tonia Briggs, a middle-aged woman in a black suit, stood up from her office seat and greeted me, "Good afternoon, boss."

Mrs. Tonia was a light-skinned woman, and I knew that she was married with two kids. I managed to respond to her greeting, not wanting to be rude, as I finally went into my office.

My office was spacious too. It was painted in white mixed with ash grey color.

I walked towards my black office chair and stopped beside the huge desk, taking off my blue coat first.

I subtly blamed myself for not listening to Doctor Amari's advice earlier to have a quick medical check-up on me, after seeing that I was sweating.

I took off my coat and dropped it on another seat. I was not expecting any guests, and to prevent any clients from coming into my office to see me. As the day was Saturday and not our usual working day, and moreover, I was sweating hot despite the air conditioning in my office.

I picked up my office telephone and placed a call to Mrs. Tonia Briggs' office line.

The phone call connected, and I informed Mrs. Tonia, "Do not to allow anyone into my office and you direct them to the rest of the top staff offices that are around. Likewise, reschedule any important business appointments that I have, until I had the time to meet with anyone."

Mrs. Tonia replied, "Okay, sir."

I immediately ended the office call and dropped the telephone line while I walked to my fridge and took out a cold bottle of water to drink from and calm my body.

Finally, I settled on my office chair, and I thought about Thelma again and what sort of witchcraft she had possessed me with. Because I couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Or maybe it's because I haven't been with a woman before, but why can't I just stop thinking about her?" I grimaced, and picked up my office line again to place a call to Sir Adam. To know if he had found out Thelma's full details since he brought her to me the previous night.

The phone call rang on the first ring, but Sir Adam didn't pick up immediately.

I frowned and called Sir Adam again, and he finally answered my call.

"Hello, boss," Sir Adam said, and I immediately asked him, "Have you found out the full details about Thelma's real information yet?"

"No, boss, but we are still trying to match her identity. The only identity that we found that matched with her real image was Thelma Sabastain, CEO Conrad Sabastain, and Melissa Sabastain's only daughter."

I froze and sat up properly in my office seat, as the revelation took some time to register its meaning in my brain and to know who exactly Sir Adam was talking about.

"What?? Which CEO Conrad Sabastain are you talking about?" I asked Sir Adam again, and he replied, "Uhm, boss, I think Thelma is the daughter of the CEO of BH Group."

"What?" The phone line went silent for a while, and I finally replied, "I don't believe you. Did you do your findings properly."

"Well, yes, boss. That's what the hacker found. Maybe when I find another female identity that truly matches Thelma's image, I will let you know about it," Sir Adam replied.

"Hmmmm," I sighed heavily and replied, "Okay."

The phone call had long ended, but I was still staring at my phone screen in disbelief, as I couldn't believe that I had slept with my enemy's daughter.

The BH Group was totally monitoring all my company activities and literally creating everything that my company also does.

For a long time, Steven Sabastain of BH Group and I haven't interacted, even though we run into each other at shows or award ceremonies.

Since Steven and I mostly compete for the Best Entrepreneur of the Year Award, Best Businessman of the Year Award, Billionaire of the Year Award, and also our companies, which are mostly compared by other growing companies that look up to us, wanting to know which company is the best between my grandfather's company, named The LX Group, and Steven's father's company named the BEEH Group?

I continued to stare at my phone screen silently, and I finally dropped the phone down on my office desk. As I couldn't believe that CEO Conrad Sabastain would allow his only daughter to sleep outside late at night, without any bodyguards.

"This is unbelievable!" I said, and sat up properly again, finally switching on my computer to research CEO Conrad Sabastain and his entire family online. For the very first time in my life.
